In this suggestion, I am going to talk about extending the Brighton mainline to include the line to London Bridge via Norwood Jn and New cross gate, and the line to Sutton via West Croydon.
Also included would be the class 378 in London overground livery, running from New Cross gate to West Croydon, and the class 455/8 in southern livery, running metro services, mainly out of London Bridge, but also out of Victoria. Class 455 operations would go as far as Caterham. This would also be an option as part of the extension with the Tattenham Corner line.
The Class 700 could also be included from London Bridge to Brighton and Gatwick, and AI at Sutton, but due to licensing this may not be possible.

DTG just announced the extension of chatham mainline on TS2022, so extensions are possible on TSW2

No, extensions have been in Train Simulator for a long time - and as far as I'm aware, this is actually a seperate DLC, similar to how Chatham + Medway Valley Lines and the Chatham Mainline DLCs are seperate.

And, extensions are something they don't really want to go into with TSW. It makes DLCs Dependent on each other for routes, which is - in my opinion - worse than locos being dependent, the business case isn't very visible, and a few other factors.

So, for a good while at least, extensions aren't happening in TSW2.

It depends on how you would define an extension. Either the route is extended with a DLC requiring the said route, or a separate route is made then automatically merged with another where they overlap. DTG have said they would prefer the latter approach. In this case a hypothetical South London Network style route would then merge onto the Brighton Main Line DLC if both are owned. Otherwise needing to own another DLC to get an extension to work is less appealing and would most likely end up being less financially viable.

But until that becomes possible, building a route that would share and extend the same services on another route wouldn't make much sense, as you would have to exit the service and swap routes at the intersecting point.
