Duncan.. trust me, people will buy it. If your tamper is any indication of quality, then people WILL buy it.

Also, this, very embryonic, MTU HST... but I'm aiming to include a lot of extra detail progressively...

Glad you're enjoying this 3D modelling lark now you've gotten your teeth into it, it's very rewarding but hellish time consuming, I miss doing battle with Blender and ultimately winning but I just don't have the free time anymore.

Keep at it Duncan I expect to be playing GST Rail Sim before long. :D:D

On the contrary, whilst I agree in part, at least all of Dunkrez's work postings are more or less in one place...

If I had any criticism, then it's the thread title...

Well, this thread did start out as a drains up on what it takes to make TS run and look great... and with over 40,000 views, I'm pretty sure it's one of the most viewed TS forum threads which is fantastic. Makes sense to keep all of my experimentation and development posts in one thread, However, please do feel free to follow me on Facebook or Youtube:

    https://www.facebook.com/goldstartrains

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiXPXY4cIt9DA9zCqpac_Uw

I've got quite a lot in the pipeline; An MPV, HST and class 47 that you might already be aware of. Then there's periodic tamper updates to follow (quite keen to cover more of these machines). There is more, but I'll tease or announce as appropriate :)

Thanks for your support guys, without it there would be no way that Gold Star would gain any traction. Also, if you haven't already picked the tamper up... get it today! This project feeds into everything else that I've got on the stove simmering away.

    Thank you again,

    Dunc

    Has anybody experienced these problems?

I bought the Tamper, but three of the four QDs are void. Only DR3016 Forwards works.

Also the tamper lowers, but doesn't tamp and the VDU screens in the operator's position are blank.

I put in a support request to ATS six days ago, but no response yet from Gold Star.

I'm here, just finishing up the next tamper update. Even though there are no images on the quick drives, they should work all the same. I can correct the missing forwards driving one, but the wagon first are impossible to do anything with.

To tamp, lower the tamping bogie, release the brakes, gear position 1, accelerator notch 1... when you reach about 0.4 miles an hour you can press c to begin tamping and shift+c to stop.

Hope this helps, please let me know how you get on. Thank you!

I can now get the tamping action to start and the VDUs to display. Thank you.

I don't understand why the QD images are blank. Surely all they require is a suitable image?

If there's something deeper then I suggest you add QD presentation and selection to the manual.

Looking fantastic, can't wait for the update.
Just wondering if in the future you may have any plans for releasing the Fastline livery, or any other liveried versions as an AI tamper alongside the Intercity one?
    Cheers

I have zero idea to get mine looking like that. It’s nowhere close. I’m guessing there’s countless things at play beyond dtg settings

He also uses RWEnhancer and Reshade with his setup, I believe he talked about it in detail somewhere.

Mainly because (mostly) everything is set to max in game, then I also use RWEnhancer Pro, plus ReShade. It' snot easy to set up and takes a bit of tweaking to get everything right, but once it is set, you can save your config files so you can easily put everything back if something changes.

Hi Dunc, not sure if the ATS installer is playing up but I have just redownloaded and installed the Updated version and it's thrown a wobbly to the point where they seem to appear in the Assets folder but not in TS (No variations) :(
Just wondering if anybody else has had similar issues?
EDIT:- Looks like a lot of the GEOPCDX files have a value of 0KB

I am getting problems after the update as well. There are 55 files with a size of 0 in the "engine" directory, including GodPcDx files that look like they refer to the new liveries (eg DR73001-jarvis.GeoPcDx, DR73101-br-trailer.GeoPcDx, DR73102-carillion.GeoPcDx, fastline, intercity, carillion).

TS2022 doesn't recognise the new liveries and Quick Drive fails.

The ATS team is working on it now guys, and the installer will be good to go again asap, I can only apologise for this, I'm very sorry indeed.

On the upside, shortly, you should all have a slew of tampers to tamper away with. I'll report back here and post on FB once confirmed to be fixed.

Sorry again, and thank you for your support, it means a hell of a lot.

Please could you try again guys? The installer version should be v1.1.1. I'm getting confirmations that it is now fully functional.

Again, sorry for the hiccup there.

Hope you enjoy the overhaul! :)

For some unknown reason a payed 6.99£ instead of 5.99£ or the actual price with sub suppose to be 6.99£ instead of the 5.99£ advertised?

It was supposed to be 6.99 for subs, but I think the webmaster made a slight error, perhaps this has been fixed now. Either way, it's ridiculously cheap for what you get.

Thank you mate, very appreciated. All depends on how many more tampers ship... it's had no reviews, or anything since I re-worked it. Shame really as I worked really hard.

Duncan this Sound replace for the Tamper just went up on the German forum may be worth a try and speak to the author to see if you can include them on your packaged i haven't had a chance to try and see if they are any good or not but by the previou video they arent too bad, normally this guy does decent replacement sound's for other dlc

    Looks crap, needs work*... :D:D:D

Glad you're feeling better after 'rona' mate, this one is coming along well, must admit I have no idea what it is though, is it a self contained RHTT?

Next project for you >>> I saw a track grinder the other night and fortuitously it was running along side me less than 30mtrs from the private road I was on, hell of a racket and smoke and sparks, I was like a five year old on bonfire night!.. :D

*when directly comparing it to your released tamper of course ;)
