What’s everyone’s thoughts on the rivet livery pack, personally I won’t buy it as I don’t think it’ll be worth any money, I think unfortunately it’ll flop
Definite pass. Furthermore, it makes their fixing of the Arosa timetable that much more suspect, which is to say the only reason they are fixing it is because they need to justify making the money back somehow for their time.
I will wait and see if they fix the braking issue, and the jumping off the line, and the manual wipers not cleaning the window first before I will even think about purchasing.
This pack would sell better if it included a new loco instead of just fancy paint jobs for the current one.
I hope this would be free for some days and then it will be paid like DTG did with P42 50th Anniversary pack.
I know- what I mean is the only reason they are going back to fix it for free is because they need to sell something alongside it, such as this festive DLC, to recoup their costs on dev time spent fixing it
Taken from Rivet Games forums. “We’re more than happy to announce the RhB Anniversary Livery Collection for our Arosa Line, coming soon to Train Sim World 2! The Anniversary Livery Collection includes 5 extremely detailed anniversary liveries from RhB, the yellow observation coach that you’ll love riding up and down the mountain (it has some Christmas lights on it at wintertime as well!) and a new timetable with 94 services and lovely winterly decorations when snow is covering the ground. Can you spot the little details hidden in the images below? Note that this is the updated Arosa Timetable with 10 additional services for you to enjoy. Here are some images for you to enjoy. Please note, these are work in progress and might change!”
Considering that it looks like they did a fantastic job and the fact that the new timetable has 94 services and they are adding Christmas decorations. I’ll more then likely be all aboard! No pun intended.
If rivet ever decide to fix the scenery issues I have with this route, I would consider getting this pack to go along with it it might also be nice if DTG consider the pack ideas for there own routes wherever possible aswell
That new carriage does look really good. This pack seems to come with 10 additional services on top of the updated time table coming in the near future.
It's not something I'll be buying. They'll way over charge for a coach! Those liveries aren't worth buying because there are players out there who can knock them out in a few hours despite how crap the livery creator is.
This is clearly one of the new experimental dlc being tested to see who will buy it.But with livery editor being in the game(and in fairness not everyone probably a top notch master at it)This kind dlc might work. But i fear they will overprices this dlc.and if history is anything to go bye many people who will buy anything will eat it up as always.
I’d buy livery packs without question. On this occasion however not this one as I don’t have the Arosa Line and don’t intend getting it. Just my personal preference.
A definite non-purchase for me. I’d rather they invested money getting the Class 150 up to standard instead of wasting it on something like this. I’m not buying West Cornwall until the Class 150 sound is an accurate representation of the AP sounds (but I don’t think Rivet have any motivation to fix it).
This is a strange thing to create when you think about, before livery editor this would be a great offer for getting new liveries but how did this idea get approved when it clearly coming out way after livery editor and now that's working against it.
I'd be all over this if it was almost any other route- i hope the idea doesn't die due to poor sales. Livery editor is cool for PC, but with no way of sharing on consoles, i suspect there'd be a market for: US- heritage units for locos and fallen flags for freight cars- there's a lot still out there IRL, and would be an easy way to add needed variety. I'd also be interested in weathered versions, but i know that can sometimes be tricky with licensing. Germany- my knowledge is more limited, but we've already seen some alternative liveries- Railion, MRCE, etc. UK- not sure on this, but we've seen seen Trainbow, etc. Priced right and it could be a win/win for DTG and the community.
I'm not saying it's a bad idea, this kind of things worth a shot, but i just fear they might price to high and that won't help sales if that's rivets goal to do more of these.
I think it would be interesting. I would think to buy it, only if the bugs (fixes, sound, resolution of landscape, etc.) were resolved and if the price was right
Same, it looks cool and fun etc. But the loco and the route is still very poor and still has bugs after almost a year (same with IoW) They should better have a look back to the routes and focus fixing those then making new content... They said they don't have enough people for that so doubt we'll see sort of prevervation crew by Rivet then
Whilst I won't be purchasing this (I only play UK routes) I do like the concept. A new piece of rolling stock, extra liveries and additional services would be a nice little addition. I would certainly be interested if say they added new (authentic) liveries for the Class 37 or 101 for example to make a more authentic and diverse experience. Assuming it's a good price I have no problems with the idea.
Definite pass for me. Rivet may be "fixing" the timetable, but there's absolutely no mention of fixes for the GE loco; which now launches forward quickly, since the Rush hour update. Rivet may make the engine glamorous with all the new liveries, but at the end of the day the engine is still broken..
I will be purchasing this, I really love the look of the new coach and it’s the first time we will have a coach like this in TSW. The liveries are nice as well but as someone who enjoyed the Arosa line, having an extra 10 services which I assume use the new passenger coach is the biggest thing for me. Also by this time they will have an updated time table for Arosa and I heard we might see some Christmas decorations appear. $15 would be the sweet spot.
As much as this looks nicely modeled there is too much wrong with Arosa for me to buy it. And since I have no hope any of these issues are ever going to be worked on I probably wouldn't even spend 5€ for it unfortunately. I'd really like to as it's RhB nonetheless but rather save my Gamepass vouchers for something else.... :/
I was on the rivets website and ask if any train might have more then one of these observations cars, and they replied and said because the real arosa/chur only has one car like this that so will the tsw2 version. What the real line only has 1 of these, doesn't mean tsw2 can't use more then one at a time.
(a) If there is anything wrong with it then it's never going to get fixed. (b) Assuming it's going to be similarly priced to diesel legends, as a non-owner of Arosa it's going cost me the best part of £40. Farming Simulator cost me £39.99 And to put the 90-odd services into a little perspective. It's not like other routes where you're passing a variety of trains at different points and getting a general feeling of each journey being different, this is going to be the exact same up/down service every single time....so in my eyes that makes it one service driven at 90-odd different times of the day.
Although the new coach and liveries look good, it's a pass for me. Rivet still have not fixed the issues with the RhB GE4/4 which is a bit annoying, I have not played Arosaline since the Rush Hour update due to the GE4/4 accelerating like a Tesla. The new timetable is nice though.
I noticed on the introduction to "Winter Gameplay" Community Update by Rivet Games a Class 37/5 in Railfreight Red Stripe livery. The loco shown is 37518 which a Series 1 split headcode variant. This variant was the original offering by DTG for Tees Valley Line but in the newer Railfreight Triple Grey with Metals sub-sector decals. So why does it appear in Rivet Games promotional material when WCL features the Series 2 centre headcode variant?
Hmm, curious, maybe it is was an image from early development that somebody didn't realise was supposed to be released. Or we're getting some kind of livery pack for class 37s which I certainly won't complain about.
they are going back to fix it for free is because they need to sell something alongside it, such as this festive DLC, to Speed Test recoup their costs on dev time spent fixing it
