I'm deeply disappointed that Rivet are working on releasing a DLC for Arosa without first fixing the major bugs that occur on this route, not limited to the impossible timetable and crazy initial acceleration. The way the article on Rivets website is worded, it appears that this "Gameplay" pack includes an upgraded timetable, and I hope this doesn't mean that we need to pay for the pack to have the timetable fix.
From their forums it seems like the updated timetable will be available even if you don't have the new pack. Now hopefully they will fix a few more issues as well while they're at content creation. In any case, I think it's a cute little addition and good for variety on the route.
Yeah I’m not impressed with what it is, a livery pack with 10 new timetables and a new coach, if it’s paid dlc 1) it won’t sell for what it is and 2) livery designer exists. The timetables should be a free update if you don’t buy it which I won’t
Jasper has confirmed that the timetable is a free bug fixed and we wont need to buy the add on pack to be able use it. Although not said either way Id imagine the 10 extra services would be part of the pack and thats fair enough IMO. https://forums.rivet-games.com/foru...livery-collection-for-our-arosa-line#post5925
Well the route gets its time table fix. So this pack adds: - 1 new wagon - different anniversary liveries to the ge 4/4 - 5 Scenarios - additional services (10) to the time table My favourite is, that this is a first step in direction livery market place --> sorry people, i just dont have the time and the patience to create those liveries. im happy the livery designer exists, but i would prefere to buy them on a central place, and when they come with additional services and stock, thats a nice thing! Nobody is forcing anybody to buy anything. A Market place for liveries was asked many times in this forum. Thats a step in this direction. - Those who enjoy making their own liveries and share them: Livery Designer is working and everybody can create what they like to - Those with no time prefere a shortcut: Save time and buy a livery with even additional services. - Those who asked for additional layers & scenarios in packs, its possible to buy it now with that kind of dlc. This is a win win win --> I Hope DTG start this kind of dlcs too
Oooh, I can think of a certain American route that could benefit from a livery pack for a certain freight locomotive.
I agree; if they're not going to let us officially share them, at least let us buy them. If it becomes a full feature, I think 50-75p per livery would be perfectly acceptable price.
Taken from Rivet forums. “We’re more than happy to announce the RhB Anniversary Livery Collection for our Arosa Line, coming soon to Train Sim World 2! The Anniversary Livery Collection includes 5 extremely detailed anniversary liveries from RhB, the yellow observation coach that you’ll love riding up and down the mountain (it has some Christmas lights on it at wintertime as well!) and a new timetable with 94 services and lovely winterly decorations when snow is covering the ground. Can you spot the little details hidden in the images below? Note that this is the updated Arosa Timetable with 10 additional services for you to enjoy. Here are some images for you to enjoy. Please note, these are work in progress and might change!”
That's a joke right? You'd pay less for a livery than for a cup of tea? While you could play with that livery for hours and hours, but you only drink your tea once? You know, that with every DLC DTG has to give a share to Epic/Steam/Sony/MS?
As long as the timetable fix comes as a free update for those who own Arosa, I'm quite happy. Although I don't think I'll get this new gameplay pack. Not a fan of the liveries (I'd rather use the clean red standard RhB livery). The panorama coach is nice, 10 new services could perhaps make the line a tad busier (although not much I guess), but I don't think it'll all be worth the requested price for me. Might get it on a discount someday perhaps.
I can confirm that Arosa will be getting the Timetable update FREE. You do not have to buy the add-on to get the fix. The pack will come with a separate timetable, some extra scenarios and the special liveries. The Anniversary collection will also be using the updated timetable.
If we're buying in bulk, 50-75p becomes very big, very quickly. Remember that the liveries are literally useless without buying the original DLC (or two DLCs for loco packs), so asking a significant amount for a new set of textures would be a joke. In TS, Marketplace reskins are £3, which is already too much... The EWS/Freightliner Class 08 pack is £5.99 (currently £2.99 on sale), and there are seven Marketplace reskins for it, all of which are £2.99 at the regular price. So to get every officially released Class 08 reskin, I'd need to spend £26.92, or as I like to call it, Riesa-Dresden and a cup of tea. If we're going to keep the £2.99 per-reskin price in TSW, to get the same amount of content in TSW, we'd need to spend... Edinburgh to Glasgow route - £24.99 (unless loco DLCs are made separate from route DLCs, we have to pay this) Class 08 pack - £11.49 7x livery pack - £2.99 each/£20.93 In total, that's £57.41. For not much more, I could buy the basic version of Gran Turismo 7... The difference between 50p and £2.99 per livery is astronomical. As mentioned, 7 liveries at £2.99 each is £20.93. At 50p, it's £3.50 for the set. At 75p, it's £5.25. In an ideal world, locos, wagons and coaches would all be 50p per livery, and multiple units would be 75p, to take into account the extra work. I am sure there are people willing to pay £21 for a set of liveries, but I am absolutely not that person.
Think of all that FPS saving lack of super Swiss scenery you could be viewing from it. High definition picture included below
Is it possible to know if Rivet is aware that there's a MAJOR bug in the physics of their loco on Arosa?
Like with the BR204 physics bug, it may very well be a deep-level issue in SimuGraph that would require major work to fix.
Probably yes, but while the br204 "just" runs with a wrong made & simugraphed transmission, the ge4/4 is in a broken state with that insane acceleration. Maybe an update from Rivet would be nice how the progress on this major bug is, or if its fixed with the timetable update. Would really be suprised if they release such a nice livery pack with no word to to this much reported & discussed bug.
Unfortunately Rivet are much better with their loco build and design than they are with routes and I think the flaws in Arosa as previously mentioned in this thread, as well as IoW and WCL will never be fixed. Rivet should leave route building to the professionals and stick to what they are good at.
