The upcoming Ruhr Sieg Nord expansion for Train Sim World covers the scenic railway between Hagen and Finnentrop, and with it will come 2 stunning locomotives – today, we shall focus on the DB BR 185.2 READ MORE
Whats the train called in the last picture next to the BR185 ? and can you post the screenshots in a higher resolution? They are really small
Looks good but please tuck those air hoses away, they should not be flying around like that. EDIT: Same thing goes for the coupling hook, it should be in the hook behind it.
If you right click the image in the article and open it in a new tab, you'll see the full resolution image. Like this one.
Nice to see that much trees on the route in this picture, I hope it don't get "optimized" like HH or the NEC DLC with deleting trees. Butt there are still to much flat green areas with no bushes, even in this picture that kills a bit the beauty of TSW.
Amazing work so far!! I noticed 2 things in screenshots. The whole habbiins carriage is lifted of its wheels, probably just a WIP bug, but still funny if you noticed it. Second: the airhoses need to be attached to the locomotive instead just hanging and swinging. I am looking forward to this one, especially since there is a lot of content included! Br185.2 Br143 Bi-levels with Cabcar 4 freightcars Scenery looks nice! Are you able to go in the corridor like in the acs-64? Is there news on a release window? EDIT: all 3 headlight should have the same brightness
Would like to see some pictures of the BR 143! Come myself from Germany and was in the engine room and cab here a video about it
For shunting you'd need shunters I think. Not actually sure if mainline electrics like 185 and 143 are ever used for shunting duties
Not very common, usually the br29x does the job, the br 261 is also used very commonly. So maily diesels
Well, this is my greatest sorrow so far, too. I'm not worried that the graphics won't meet our expectations, but I'm not sure if DTG is able to realize authentic sounds for the locos this time. Especially the BR 143 is quite noisy with its FMLs (Fahrmotorlüfter = drive motor fan), because until now all locos seemed to be running in a secret "silence mode" so you could hardly hear anything of them. That's especially a problem with diesel locos, whose engines rather sounded like car engines, but not like huge machines with thousands of HP. But these electric locomotives aren't silent either and so I hope that we'll be able to enjoy some nice noisy and realistic locos this time.
Will the removal of leaves on the trees in the winter carry over to other TSW routes, or will it just be for this one?
Exactly, tunnels are still broken in the original CSX heavy Haul and Rapid Transit is still an absolute mess.
Luke, has the PZB been fixed for Ruhr Sieg Nord? If yes, will an update for the PZB in RT be released when Ruhr Sieg Nord is released? If the PZB hasn't been fixed for RT and RSN, don't release RSN until it has been fixed, or else you're setting yourselves up to fail and guaranteeing a host of negative reviews on release, regardless of how good the new content is.
If this route is released with broken PZB/signalling system, then that tells you the attitude of DTG and their priorities. I guess we will soon find out...
Oh you know it. I'm probably not even gonna buy this route, or really any for a while unless it's something I REALLY REALLY want.
I bet that leafless trees, tunnel darkness, and a working PZB system will never come to the older routes. Only newer ones, so you have to keep buying content.
