I’m not sure if this is a technical fault or not but when I go into step 2 of braking in the class 313 brake cylinder rises to about 1.8 then drops back down to zero Noticed on ECW service
That's normal for EMUs, a lot of them operate blended brakes which are a mixture of air and electric brakes depending on the speed. Once you are going fast enough, the air brakes will kick in first as they react faster, then as the electrics come in the air brakes will drop off as the electrics are more effective. When your speed drops too low the electrics get less effective and the air brakes will come back on to make up the difference.
