Yeah, that's a fine replacement I think. Although they probably never showed up on the service, there are no trains that did, so choosing the MRCE 182 is fine... now I just need to get HBK :D Hopefully, some fine discounts coming to Steam :D

Thanks Joethefish for your insights. I'm really glad that you worked on this route.

Seems like in 2011/12 at least the EC 174/175 Budapest-Hamburg was driven by a MRCE 182 (despite a short time between 10.6.12 and 26.7.12, when this train was driven by a 120). So the MRCE 182 isn't an all wrong choice for these services.

But were the coaches on that train DB or OBB? The Austrians run most of the Eurocities to and from Germany from the south and southeast.

I have traveld on that service (altough in 2019) it uses mainly CD and MÁV coaches. (This service runs through the Czech Republic and Slovakia) DB coaches are rare sight there but it is possible. I have never seen a ÖBB coach enter the Budapest Nyugati train station. All the services that uses ÖBB coaches use the Budapest Keleti train station.

Thanks for the insight and did the train had ÖBB 1216 Germany DB BR183 neu from Berlin Elsterwerda Dresden Schöna Decin Prague Brno Breclav Bratislava Budapest. Diversion is Decin (Bodenbach) Prag (Prague) Brünn (Brno) Lundenberg (Breclav) Wien Hbf Budapest. Another locomotive for that train & Tharandter Rampe is DB BR180 CZ 371/372.

On Wuppertal Hagen they modelled moving suspended railway carriages. By your logic I'll await the suspended railway DLC any day

Schwebebahn (the suspended railway on RRO) would make for a pretty cool DLC if made properly.

There both different ones an animated moving suspended railway train but some what basic, the others a bunch of detailed passenger coaches that sit there and do nothing.

How detailed are those coaches though? I can't tell much from the screenshot TBH. It would be great if they actually were fully modelled and functional, interiors and all. But other routes have had these static wagons (Sand Patch has a Chessie caboose) before.

Don't forget the 3 static coaches/baggage cars parked at one of the stations on wsr, those 3 look terrible considering the fact that the coaches seen on the trains on the route are roughly the same cars.

Which is pretty much what we told DTG to do in the first year of TSW 2, they asked if we would like to see less detailed static stock on routes, in order to give more life to the route, without taking too much of a hit in memory. We as a community collectively said yes to that.

With the way things has been lately the whole memory issue is still a big issue with or without low rez coaches.

Well, my point was, that DTG asked, we collectively said yes, and now we have them, as requested.

When the route releases, would it be at all possible for the timetable applicable to the route be shared? It would be very useful for reference.

sorry for the late reply. I don't really know what locomotives are hauling this service between Pague and Hamburg since Prauge main station is a dead end. Between Prauge and Budapest they mostly use CD engines, I don't know the precise classification. (I have once seen a Slovakien loco in front of that train.).

What I recall from my Dresden - Dečin suggestion is that the EC used to be hauled between Prague and Dresden by a multy system ČD class 371 or sometimes 372 locomotive, and between Dresden and Hamburg a BR 101 would be used. Nowadays it's usually a BR 193 Vectron leased by ČD from ELL that hauls the EC between Prague and Hamburg without a loco change at Dresden.

371/372 can fit on Tharandter Rampe as the Red version DB BR180 as a scenario rail tour to Schöna with DR coaches

Wow, didn't know Czech AI services were going to get added. Very nice :). This is probably unlikely but will this add the option for a IC consist for the 182 in scenario planner?

You can find the timetables here for all routes. Not my work but a brilliant job by someone. Usually updated within 2 weeks once a new route comes out.

Glad you like the sound of them! I don't think the timetable formations are considered by the scenario planner. But I don't know enough about scenario planner to say for sure.

    Thanks for the info Joe.

Sure that layers would be nice too for last gen. But even without that we will get enough variety in rolling stock at Tharandter Rampe even for last gen. And on the other side there is no IC traffic at Tharandter Rampe in real so that I will not miss it so much in the simulation.

    https://assets.static-bahn.de/dam/j...22-ergänzt ste-ro-jg - Schreibgeschützt.pdf

And all the other trains I think can't compete with the 612 at this route if it is about speed. Because of it's tilting technology it should have by far the highest curve speeds at that route.

If they don’t fix the catenary on this route I’m definitely waiting for a sale, but if it releases with the catenary from the Meissen branch I’ll definitely buy it the day it comes out.

Hopefully the developers will update the catenery like they did on Boston Sprinter. But I still will be buying Tharandter Rampe because of the BR 612

I hope they did not weigh up: The 612 brings much more customers, than the crappy cantenary would loose...

    I agree with you.
I prefer DTG fixes first lot of issues the routes and locomotives, trains and signals, than a cantenary or other "piece of the scenery" that it is just different to the real one, and does not affect the train "behavior" and driving experience.

I'am sorry, but you missunderstood me... The comment is about what I am afraid of. But from the bussiness case I would understand such a descision. I still hope, that they will use the better cantenay model on the final product ;-) It still triggers me :D:D

Because the route is set a few years back (2012 IIRC), and back then none of the Dostos had a S-bahn Dresden livery yet.

Oohhh preview, exciting. Matt talked enthousiastically about the route on streams, and Maik worked on the BR 613, amd the route itself is quite interesting, so I have good expectations for this one :)

I never buy anything at launch. Better to wait for the reviews and bug fixes.

(Except the G6. I did that expressly to support Maik/TSG- also, I had confidence it would not be buggy).

Instant buy for me. You get the 612 and BR 143+Dostos and the timetable also has layers for the IC-Coaches + MRCE 182 and probably some Dresden-Riesa trains.
solicitr since Maik worked on the 612, i guess you can expect similar quality as the ICE 3 or BR 101. 100% sure about that. Let's wait for the stream tonight.
