Hi I just am so excited to see more third-party companies agreeing to work with TSW 2 Team. With more third parties company joining abroad, hopefully, we will see more amazing routes, especially Japan Route. I just really hope that we will see this route added to TSW 2 in 2022. Here is the route itself from TS22 Link and the Realistic one
I agree and it can be bundled with Frankfurt U-Bahn NYC Subway the following are IRT West Side Line or the stacked tunnel IRT East Side Line BMT/IND Brighton
We've got 1 LUL already, how many times can you drive thru identical tunnels? Of all the amazing JT routes available this would be the last one I'd want to see come over to TSW
The London Underground is not the best work from the team, and thats why i want to see something better
I voted for no, just because personally I wouldn't care about it. I would love to see a subway route, but not a LU one.
But it’s not identical tunnels. As a cut and cover line, the tunnels are completely different, particularly that they have double tracks and many breaks in the tunnel. Also, the majority of the line is not in tunnel.
I votes yes because it would be great to see Chiltern Railways layered in if a route for them was ever made
Though the met offers various things other tube lines do not: 60mph running Dual-track tunnels Express and stopper patterns (depending on time period) Also runs on the oldest section of underground railway in the world An opportunity varied routes to run Each tube line has its unique charm.
I think it would be the only train included unless you want ATO and DTG is able/willing to create moving block signalling.
S Stock were introduced before ATO operation. They were retrofitted with CBTC receivers, the grey "bumps" above each can window. The 95 and 96 stock also ran fully drivable at time of introduction for a little while. The argument with ATO is. What value of gameplay does it have?
DTG will do those as the UK US Germany route system for a bundle like Rush Hour Riesa-Dresden Northeast Corridor Boston Providence. This case underground commute NYC Frankfurt Am Main Metropolitan Line
The Chiltern Main Line route would be the one I would like to see from Just Trains in TSW. Unfortunately, it's about 115 miles long, so probably a no- go.
I do hope 2022 starts bringing longer routes where you feel you've been on a good ride. Brighton to me is the only one I feel like I've really been somewhere, or Dresden. Sherman's a bit longer as is Sandpatch. I'm not a fan of the short routes with no possible option to go longer, they feel like popping to the shops.
I've just yesterday downloaded this on TS in the Steam sale and it is a brilliant route. So much more involved and realistic than the DTG Bakerloo line. I'd love to see it brought over to TSW and see what JustTrains could do to make it even better.
If JustTrains are going to remake TS content, I'd personally prefer they'd remake the Valley Corridor or Marsdonshire. I am quite unusal in this 'community' as I get very little enjoyment from real routes, but a lot from fictional ones. Marsdonshire is a route with a lot to see and do, so it would be a good addition to TSW, which does feel a bit empty at times. Valley Corridor is quite linear and doesn't have much variety in operations, but this is more than made up for by its length (JT have always prided themselves on building long routes) and its absolutely stunning scenery.
Not assuming, more hoping as there are some good routes in the collection. Also the research and many of the assets are available to be ported across. Of course as I indicated above, it isn’t really JT making the routes, it’s the developers who sell through them so it all depends on their willingness to engage with TSW content creation and DTG’s to allow use of the toolset.
The Met line is one of JT's developers local routes, so I would assume it would be more likely to appear out of personal preference/passion, along with all the prebuilt scenery assets that can be ported across and the knowledge/reference material for the route and S stock. Although I rather see the line up to Aylesbury with sections of the Met instead of the full met line with nowhere to run a Class 165 on a full service. That would give a better variety of gameplay in my mind, if we can't get both of course.
I might be wrong but I don’t think it’s as easy as asset porting from the old to new games. I’d envisage they already have a route close to completion, probably with a q1 release. It’s probably nonsensical making the announcement if they’re a year away from delivering anything as the buzz will go
(Sorry I did just read my old post and decided to rewrite it). As I've done more research I've seen that the S-Stock operated without ATO and CBTC apparently between 2010 and 2019. This would be the best period to represent the route, my older comment about the A stock being the only possibility is wrong. ATO would not add anything to the gameplay, and probabily would even detract from the experience, but if they decide to set the route post CBTC, it should still be used because it's realistic, but at this point we get an experience which is either unrealistic or not fun to play. This would be made even worse be the lack of responsibility in making sure that passenger boarding is safe. So you would practically have nothing to do.
It took quite a long time for Skyhook's first DLC to be released after it was announced in the roadmap, so the same would apply to Just Trains.
Yes , the metropolitan line would be another tube line , but it would have a very different feel to the BKL
I agree and unique feature is 4 tracks Fast Semi Fast All stations that way Metropolitan Line serves as the experiment on how to run 4 tracks on a subway. NYC version of London Underground Metropolitan line Fast Semi fast and all stations are Express Skip Stop Local
Pedantically, the Metropolitan isn't a tube line, most of it is on the surface - and the part that isn't was constructed using 'cut and cover', not deep tunnelling. The trains, loading gauge and 'feel' would be quite different from the Bakerloo, but possibly a bit similar to the LIRR.
We have one tube line and how many other lines? Another tube line wouldn't be a problem. Plus, Metropolitan is different from Bakerloo. I think it would be a great addition to TSW2. It would give us some new rolling stock that has yet to appear in TSW as opposed to the same rolling stock we see repeated on the other routes. It would be cool if it also included yard duties. A day one buy for me if Metropolitan Line comes to TSW2.
