Glasgow South Western Line (glasgow, Kilmarnock And Girvan

Today i am going to suggest a route that i havent seen requested yet, the glasgow south western line includes the lines between Glasgow central, kilmarnock, stranraer and carlisle, however i will only do it going up to girvan due to limitations

Rolling stock:
Currently, the only units that run on this line are the class 156 super sprinters, however the section between troon and ayr also has the class 380,

Interior:


The route extends between Glasgow central and kilmarnock, trains to stranraer, ayr and girvan turn back and come off the line quickly, trains to carlisle continue down the line.

We would come out of Kilmarnock and turn off onto a short section of track, before coming onto the Ayrshire coastline just after barassie, we stop at troon, continue towards ayr, where the ayrshire coastline route ends
Then towards girvan.

Overall, the total journey distance would be roughly 57 miles, maybe a bit much for a route with 1 train, but maybe eventually we could get this route.

A nice choice of route, it must be said. One of the only remaining diesel routes in that Suburban Glasgow area. However, I'd happily trade the Kilmarnock - Girvan section for the East Kilbride branch, with the Kilmarnock - Troon curve added, maybe* going to Ayr.

*Probably would only happen if the Ayrshire Coast Line happens, tbf.

However, it's a nice route, with a nice train, it would be good to see in TSW.

 

A nice route with some nice speeds and open countryside and a bit of city as well. Really nice suggestion, I would defiantly buy this if it were to be made

 

I’d definitely buy it but I just hope if they do this we finally have a proper sounding sprinter unlike the mess that’s the 150/2 Cornwall sprinter

I would buy the route the second it comes out! It's my local route and I would be very very very very very very very very happy if it came out!

 

It would be slightly easier to make BECAUSE alot of the sounds are all ready in the game. For example the open doors sound it the same on the class 465. The gaurds buzzer is the same on the HST. The aws is the same sound as the class 150.

 

156 aws has different sounds, now its a more generic modern aws sound

 

Excellent idea and I wonder what can the downloadable content train be? One of the possibility can be Class 158 Sprinter since you can form a longer train with it using Class 156.
