Possibly because the release date was announced before the controversial roadmap changes. And nope, incentives to throw more money at DTG doesn't magically make their disappointing decisions disappear.

Possibly the Scenario Planner 2.0 hiatus.
The unspecified length of delay to the 232.

However not going to stop my enjoyment of the new route. At least the 612 is a diesel even if not a loco.
And given all my recent Journey mode German excursions seem to be producing 766 “silence is golden” runs, nice to have a bit of noise. Note to DTG, please leave off the cab cars for a while, I want noise!

Did we have a release date for the two features beforehand? No? So what is different now? ;)

How the hell can something be delayed if there was no release date announced? Maybe it's exactly how it was planned? Because with no word anyone with knowledge of this matter confirmed that the 232 is delayed. The amount of unreflected comments here is really concerning.

Alright then, the lack of any development progress update. We are moving OT for the thread with this, but as I pointed out in another thread maybe it's time DTG backed it down a notch or two on the preliminary announcements which may subsequently lead to frustration and loss of anticipation. The 232 is one of the most eagerly awaited German DLC's and will be a Day 1 purchase for me.

For me too, my friend. But you know, that's what happened - the 232 was announced far too early. That's the way it is, there's no need to be angry about it any more, it´s past. DTG itself knows that this was a mistake (along with several other mistakes of this kind). But thanks to Maik, we've known for a long time that it will still take time. We never had the illusion that it would come soon.

And DTG said yesterday that 2021 should not be repeated. Calm down, look forward to Dresden - Chemnitz (tomorrow! :)) and have a little patience, someday we can both drive our beloved 232.

(Furthermore, I agree with you in principle, I don't want to deny your statement about DTG.)

Nothing was ever announced too early, that is just the wrong perception. Things might have been announced with too much detail (Riesa Dresden for example, there was absolutely no need to say at the time of announcement that the branches would be included, the depth of information was the problem, not the timing!), but the problem is the utter impatience of some people here. That is the point of the roadmap, what is the long term plan, and the BR232 for example is a long term plan. If people don't understand that and expect it to be released next week, THAT is the problem, not that the BR232 was announced.

Rage end. Sorry, nothing against you, but I keep seeing these statements over and over and had to say something at some point.

I was - just like you - someone who also opposed this statement. I was just referring to my previous poster and only wanted to express that it is just the way it is. So, I am the wrong addressee for your "rage". ;) No offence.

Yeah, didn't mean to address you as well, you were just the unfortunate last soul to say something, sorry mate :) Should be a general statement :)

As a little info for the PC Community - an IC-livery with all the details etc. is definitely on my to-do to make it available for download :)

The decisions that led TSW into its current state. No offence, but why do you pretend to live under a rock? You post here regularly, and you know the criticisms perfectly well.

At least its not Florida. That is one bi-polar state. So beautiful but so psycho at the same time, or so fun but very dangerous.

There recently was this stream where Sam and Matt address the state of TSW2, as the video description puts it:

Worth a watch instead of asking me to summarize everything wrong with last year’s developments.

    Saxony.

Does anybody know if this route has any scenarios for the BR101 loco? I know the 101 can be used on the other Dresden route but can't find if this route has any layers..

It looks like they were able to add RE3 substitution for the BR 612. This is a German video, but he’s clearly driving an RE3 service with the 612 due to the increased amount of stops:

It’s a good sign you haven’t found any bugs within 10 minutes, because I usually find two within five minutes.

And so start the complaints ending the euphoria of new route release….it is all so predictable.

There are no additional service layers. Background AI (especially in Dresden) only on PC, PS5 & Xbox Series X/S.

Predictable yes. On the other hand I think it's useful that we have players who examine a route on its release to find problems and flaws that the rest of us can think about before taking the plunge. Plus these early adopters sometimes find issues which get past Beta and QA or have been simply let go by the developer as unimportant or, in its opinion, not worth fixing.

Because gen 8 consoles do not have enough memory for the layers without crahsing.

Really nice introduction video by paul.pavlinovich here:

He also has tutorial videos for the locos on his channel.

Can’t wait to experience this route!

That doesn’t explain the absence of playable layers for the systems that can handle it. München - Augsburg and London - Brighton had additional layers on the new consoles, so there’s no reason why Tharandter Rampe shouldn’t.

Also, Dresden to Riesa has multiple layers on the old consoles and it no longers crashes for me after some patches were released.

Apart from the shunters, which we were told have a layer or come with the route, what else would you layer onto this route? There is nothing that would make sense :)

Constructive criticism is fantastic and I wholeheartedly support those comments…. Unfortunately others then start piling on with derogatory comments toward the company, their planning process , lack of programming skill, etc. it is those comments I tire of rather quickly.

Everything that regularly drove on the route back then is included already, plus some cool additional stuff like the Railpoool freight loco and blue shunter. There’s simply nothing else that could be logically layered onto the route.

I was talking about driveable layers in that comment. AI layers are another story. They make Dresden look busier & more active, but you can’t hop in and drive them.
