Have passed 3 weeks since Marias Pass was released so I was expecting the rest of the BNSF stuff should be released very soon.
What's funny is Fort Kent - Eagle Lake is excluded. Not that it's particularly pretty, but anyway. Would be kinda neat feat to manage a win with Rascal & Cottonwood.
How about if DTG released all the BNSF stuff at once Then you would be able to have a go at them for not checking everything worked ok before release
I would like to see some form of communication of what is going on now, they still have not released the patch for the all the unbranded content that everyone owns. And it would be nice to see a schedule of release for the BNSF content as 749006 has stated and DTG mentioned when Marias Pass released that they would have go over the other content to fix any reported or outstanding issues. DTG_Jamie can you please provide more info on this topic Please and Thank You.
Are you an employee of DTG? If not then let them answer the question instead of coming with stupid answers!
Am I the only one that is getting brassed off with the only important thing in the world is BSNF branding????????????? Patience my friends Patience. There is a whole world of TS projects out there not just BSNF !!
His response was not stupid and no he does not work for DTG. DTG did mention that they will need to go over the content before releasing it worldwide to all of us. I would prefer that they check things over insuring what we're going to get is not problematic. Causing them to spend additional time in fixing things, and us having to waiting for proper functioning addons. I myself willing to wait but updates as to what is going on and what is next on the release schedule would be nice. Please use some common sense when you respond to posts, and refer to others as stupid..
Probably because the only reason it wasn't allowed was the BNSF liveries (which those licensing issues have now been resolved), because for example Cajon Pass (a no longer available route for the rest of the world) is still allowed in the contest.
I think it's because Marias has the same visuals and it's also coming soon. Cajon is a bit different but that's predominantly UP/NS as represented. I agree from the purchasing standpoint. Isn't it the largest US railroad? Yes, I could live without it, but in shot threads it's a bit silly to avoid them. It's branding in the other meaning of the word. That being said, I have some workshop subscriptions requiring this DLC, so would be jolly to have a rough timeline. I have a suspicion that High Iron might create scenarios and consists, if nothing else then bundling up their own workshop stuff. I can imagine the stream of negative reviews about the DLC not showing up in QD or Career.
It is not a Stupid answer Before just turning a switch and saying here is everything they need to check everything from the branding down to the way it operates If YOU purchased a recently released BNSF route, played a scenario and it did not work would you be happy? Of course not - like the rest of us. Just be patient
Those DLC are currently on sale. They only have to do like with Marias Pass: https://steamdb.info/sub/26907/history/ New dual released routes like Tehachapi are a bit more interesting.
Well you may not have directly said it, you're inferring it in your response to him. As I said Please use common sense when responding to post, and avoid words that can get you in trouble with the rules of the forums.
Now on sale 60% off for £9.99 Tehachapi also available 50% off Are there any other BSNF routes that were withdrawn, which haven’t come back into the game yet?
Yes, Tehachapi Pass has also been updated for the ROW but they haven't changed the thumbnail train picture when you select a BNSF scenario to have the BNSF logo on it.
Cajon Pass maybe? I think there are no other routes that were withdrawn but there are yet some routes that need branding: those are: Raton Pass, Hi Line, Arizona Divide and the Chicago Racetrack. Some scenario packs were never released worldwide and they are now ready to be available for everyone as they require Marias Pass, those are the chicago and the surfliner ones. Anyway, those are all third party addons so idk how much DTG is involved
I would argue the only thing they would need to check in many cases is whether the sales page has been opened to the rest of the world. In the case of dual versions of routes, the only other thing is that all customers are now directed to a single sales page with the fully branded versions of the stock in the route (with the other one being disabled and removed from sale) and with the ability to buy that version for everyone. The contents of the route or locomotive should work exactly the same, so it's a fantastic question that the BNSF Locomotive Pack (the GP38-2, SD40-2, F45), SD45-2, SD75, and others are not already available. The Marias Pass stock could be made available now because Marias Pass is out, but it seems the trains themselves are being put on hold, in some cases holding back sales for publishers who really want their stock to be in customer's hands now. For instance, I guarantee you DTM wants to sell the ATSF SD45-2. They have to wait, partly because Cajon Pass is not back to worldwide status yet even though the route can be found via a really old Steam key, if acquired (and I luckily had one of those). I would further argue, related to updating dual routes, that those perhaps be done in a separate pass, maybe an earlier pass than sales for everyone else. I mean, people already owning the route would otherwise have to wait for an update to be pushed to the existing unbranded route, or wait for the branded version to unlock separately. That might be a mess, so Tehapachi will be a good first test. I have to see how Racetrack is affected because I own that. To the argument that people can buy the route unbranded in between, block sales for a few hours while it converts over.
Everything that was removed for the ROW due to the BNSF embargo will eventually be released to the ROW with the right logos according to High Iron Simulations. Clear Creek is another one with the incorrect logos for those living outside the USA and also Burlington Northern and Santa Fe logos.
