The trains that i would like to see this year is more commuter, passenger train especially in the USA, such as Metro-North Line, NJT Line, Amtrak, Amtrak Acela, . For the UK or Europe, I would like to see more High-speed trains, as well as more commuter trains, and definitely More Tilting trains as well.

Two trains that I found that I think should come to the game is TransPennine Express Nova 3, LNER Azuma. You can see this two video here,

What do you think about them adding sleeper train in the game?

Had to pass over this survey since the mainstay of American and Canadian Railroading were not represented - that being freight! Freight has always been king in North America with passenger a distance second for commuter and only a government subsidized third for long haul passenger - Even in the Golden years of railroading - freight paid the bills.

I'll pass on this survey as it leaves out an important part of railways, freight.

What, no none of the above?

What I would like to see would be
    • DB V 200 aka BR 220
    • DB V 160 aka BR 218
    • Class 55 Deltic
    • EMD E9
    Anyone noticing a trend here?
More realistically, I'm pretty certain the Acela will be coming, and not very surprised to see the ICE-T. If there's one I really want it's a high-nose GP7 or 9 for Clinchfield. Oh, and the BR 103 with TEE coaches.

I want all kind of routes in a nice mix. Sometimes commuter focused, sometimes freight only, sometimes all in one, like Riesa-Dresden.

I like doing all sorts of runs from high-speed passenger, to local passenger, commuter, freight, shunting, etc. I love routes that have a bit of everything.

I like every American Freight stuff. Hope this year bring more freight car variants, more American diesel engine and more American freight route.

Based in the uk I must say my sway is towards freight but variety. Tired of the same loco rebranded, appreciate there are similarities but there must be an opportunity like clinchfield to blend in some old stock. I’m drawn to the huge weights of American freight though I love the beauty of the German stock too and their routes

Uk is a bit pipe and slippers (homely and familiar) and wholly underrepresented in the uk offering currently for modern era. There are so many great trains that ran the ECML and elsewhere but with the whole licensing/can’t merge routes /no 80mile runs I can’t see we’ll really be seeing or stretching their legs

Whilst I enjoy passenger, I don’t always have the concentration for start stop journeys. I am a bit bored of uk stock like the 313/314/377/387/3same7.

I'd like to see more intercity, historic, heritage and steam trains. Poll doesn't offer me these options though.

It's not so much trains that I want. I want more rolling stock. Bring back the coil wagon for CSX, add extra tank car and box car types for all countries and add on gondolas. Coaching stock also needs expanding, there's too much of the same thing repeated. there are different types of Dosto in Germany, and also some different long distance coaches in Germany (not to mention the cab car).
Finally add timber services to MSB - there's a whole pile of logs next to a siding in one station, but no log wagons go there.

Indeed, it also doesn't include branch lines and rural secondary/cross country lines.

I definately do want to see more elecrostars though I am sure there must be variant not featured so far ;)!

That's one of the reasons why I'm enjoying the new German route. With the 612 you get some decent length runs between stops (ignore the silly "as the crow flies" distance on screen as wildly inaccurate on such a curved route), really do feel like you are getting going. Of course it would be even better with a diesel loco hauling some stock but DTG seem even more obsessed with modern for Germany than they do with wretched Electrostars for the UK.

I would like to see a class 143 in Provincial livery for TVL and it replace most of the class 101 formations as they would have been far more common on that route in 1989 (I would like to see the TVL 3 car class 101 available on NTP as you would not have just seen 2 car sets on that route in 1983).

A class 108 for NTP to supplement the class 101 or a class 104 maybe.

    A class 25 for NTP.

A class 155 or 158 in Provincial livery or Regional express for the latter. Maybe with a route, the Welsh Marches from Shrewsbury to Cardiff or something like Bristol to Portsmouth or Weymouth. The 155 or 158 could sub in West Cornwall Local.

A class 122 in blue/grey or one of the two Regional Railways liveried examples for the St. Ives Branch.

An Intercity HST with Valenta engines for WCL as they would have been as common a sight in Penzance as the class 150.

    A Collett Castle 4-6-0

I miss Steam (locomotive powered) Train

Any highly detailed steam locomotive from Bossman Games will do, but preferably a Bullied Pacific,
    still air smoothed:
    Screenshot 2022-01-18 153306.png
or one of the rebuilt locomotives still operating today:

    like Braunton.
Rebuilt Bulleid Pacifics in my eyes look thoroughly modern, brutish yet sleek

I agree. The game is so badly lacking decent British diesels and routes. Far too much emphasis on electric. Get the British stuff done first and then do some other foreign routes as a side line or bonus content. No one wants to drive up the side of a mountain at 3mph or haul 300 freight wagons over a desolate American desert for 3 hours without a single stop. Can’t think of anything more mind numbing.

Well i also enjoy other countries, no matter if its cane creek, sherman hill or all the german routes. As much i like uk, im happy the cake of content is kind of balanced. Im sure dtg is going to make other br diesels when the first steam routes in a transition era will come.

For some reason, i still think the first route this saturday gets announced is based in the 60s, but the base dlc will contain 2 steam engines. Thats my opinion. Will see, no much longer to wait.

Normally I agree with Gary, but I must take a slightly different viewpoint to that stated. We are quite well served for classic British traction with, apart from the DMU's, only a few types really missing - a Type 2, Class 50, Class 55, Class 55 and Class 60 (latter just about counts as classic and I'm not including the 59 as it's just another over silenced "ying ying" GM). Plus a Hymek and Warship for the hydraulics. I agree we could do with another 70's or 80's era UK route, something similar to the Chemnitz route with a bit of distance between stations, some challenging gradients/curves and not typical south of the Thames scenery.

However I'm really enjoying the new German route, the SF Corridor (though admittedly cab cars are dull and boring, one drawback of the German routes too) with Cane Creek also being quite high up my like list. Haven't got Sherman yet, probably wait for it to drop 40% in a sale.

“No one” Are you sure about that?

I find fighting Isaac Newton far more engaging than being a stop and start timetable’s slave, the same routine close doors-go-stop-open doors routine repeated every 90 seconds is truly mind numbing

Have the X-Wagen really been relegated to S-Bahn service? What a sad comedown! Would have been more dignified if they simply scrapped them.

Chose Commuter high-speed Freight and sleeper trains because they can make a route have various types of services the example of this is the Salzburg Wien Hbf freight line Salzburg Gnigl to Wien Kledering Westbahn with that route giving Hauptstrecke München-Augsburg Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen and Main Spessart Bahn ÖBB services. Commuter rail And Freight NJ Transit Raritan Valley Line due to them sharing Newark Penn Station to Aldene connection Roselle Park required layer is Horseshoe curve for Norfolk Southern locomotives CSX is automatically added in due to Sand Patch Grade.

Correct and that can be done if DTG makes Westbahn Salzburg Wien Hbf freight services Salzburg Gnigl to Wien Kledering or Innsbruck Rosenheim Railway freight Rosenheim to Hall in Tyrol. To Reach Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen from Innsbruck Hbf these use Main Spessart Bahn Aschaffenburg-Lohr section. Make both playable in the case of Main Spessart Bahn will require you to run one from Aschaffenburg Hbf to Lohr where these use the connector line to Schnellfahrstrecke Hannover Würzburg. Benefit of this is that ES64U2 DB BR182 MRCE BR182 ÖBB 1116 can attain Max speed of 230 kmh (145 mph). Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr ÖBB 1293 173-200 ai traffic Nightjet to Amsterdam CS via Duisburg Oberhausen-Arnhem Railway

2 must adds for me in the US are the EMD F59 family and the SC-44 Charger. I'd also love to see trains such as the Acela, HSP46, ALP45/46, AEM7, HHP8 and the P42. More routes with the F40 and MP36 would also be really nice since they are extremely common.
