Recently I've been considering getting a new loco DLC and I've narrowed it down to the 101 or 204. Which one do people recommend. I currently own MSB SKA HRR NRD. I enjoy shunting operations and want to make use of the dock at Aschaffenburg. What is the service mode like for the 204 how varied is its work? Also what (if any) other routes does it substitute onto? When I saw the 101 stream I really liked it but at the time I didn't own HRR which I planned on getting in order to get the 101. Out of the above routes that I own which ones does it substitute onto? Lastly which one do you find the most enjoyable to play and why?

I suggest you the br 101 because it offers you more services than br 204. Then you can find it on Hamburg-Lubeck route and Riesa-Dresden route. But you need of Duisburg-Bochum route
Both are good products in their own rights but I personally would suggest getting the 101 over the 204 as it appears on more of the German routes than the 204 does.
The BR101 hands down. The BR101 is the best electric loco in the in it's physics and sounds plus the IC coaches are a work or art in my opinion. The BR204 is not accurate at all in how it is implemented in the game with no plans to remedy it in any way going forward.
The quality of these two products is not comparable. BR 101 is one of the best ever made and worth every penny of its full price, while BR 207 is one of the worst and I would only recommend it with a 60% discount. Yes, you can access the dock with it but there is very little to do there because the services are very sparse and also very uninspired. For manoeuvring I recommend the G6, excellent quality but you need the RRO route.
Thanks for all the advice, I'll probably get the 101 as It should, fingers crossed, go on SKA even if it is only one driveable service, it will be nice to see it in the depot at Koln.
204 also has little in the way of services, all around the otherwise unpopulated Aschaffenburg harbor area of MSB. 101 provides a lot more gameplay (besides being about the best loco yet made for TSW)
