Some more amazing discounts on Steam, lots of 75% off! Some of these are half the price they were in the Christmas sale! ALL of the RH routes are 75% off.
I've done a graphic as I did with the winter sale. Also noticed, the Rush Hour Deluxe Edition appears to have been discontinued. Other changes I've made, other than using formulae, is that DLC is now listed in release order, not alphabetical. Again, this is for ease in the future.
You lucky, lucky PC people. That’s about the price of four slices of nice ham in my local Co-op. Fill yer boots.
25 bucks landed me Sherman Hill, Rapid Transit, the BR 182 and the Budd M3. Never wanted RT, but I look at this as a way to get the 182 for $12. This also gets me all DTG releases, aside from Chemnitz and the (unwanted) DLGW
was not going to buy Sherman hill, but for six quid.... was not going to buy diesel legends, but for three quid...... got the 1938 stock as well
Interesting the two Rivet routes are still full price. Might have tried WCL and/or Arosa again for £6. Maybe they will drop later on.
Figured I may as well grab BML and the 313 while they're cheap, not that I have a working PC but I'm getting closer thankfully
Just picked up Sherman Hill and Clinchfield for £12.50. Not a bad nights work. Thanks Dtg for this sale. Mike.
Which route should i go for? These are what i have so far What other routes and trains should I go for before the festival of rail sale end which is this Sunday? This is what I have so far as a whole for the Routes and Trainset 1. Great Western Express Route 2. LIRR Route 3. Main Spessart Bahn Route 4. North Trans-Peinne Route 5. Pennisula Corridor Route 6. East Coastway- Brighton Route 7. Boston Sprinter Route 8. London Commuter Route 9. Nahverkehr Dresden Route 10. Cathcart Circle Route: Scottish City Commuter: Glasgow Newton 11. Sherman Hill for $7.50 is a definite buy for me. I just hope one day they’ll figure out a way to randomly make trailing units CSX, NS, or UP.
Mind it's a huge performance hog. Other routes even the new German one run nice and smooth but in places it's a slideshow. So rather glad I didn't pay full price or the more regular sale price. Off to find the Sherman thread and see how we can tame it...
Ruhr-Sieg Nord is a steal at that price, and it's still one of the best routes in TSW. Get the 363 shunter while you're at it. And Clinchfield is a marvel IF it's the kind of thing you like (for some players, drag freight through forested mountains is definitely not what they like). Depends on how much you enjoy Sand Patch- think of CRR as Super Sand Patch.
Time to stock up, me-thinks. Although it hurts to see those prices listed in pounds and get all excited, only to log in to Steam and see the conversion to AUD...
which one should i get next? I can only get 3 more 1. Clinchfield or Sherman Hill 2. Isle of Wright 3. Rhein-Rhur Osten 4. Rapid Transit 5. DB BR 182
Just to point out, the Festival of Rail has always been a Steam-exclusive sale; it's existed for longer than TSW has. Given there's no sale on Epic, I doubt that'll change anytime soon.
Having not touched Sherman Hill since release (waiting for a patch to make performance remotely bearable), seeing it already discounted 75% feels a little bit like a slap to the face. But, that's the way things go; I should have refunded it until the problems were worked out. I already own most of the stuff on discount. I will probably pick up the BR Class 465 and maybe DLGW but it is a nice sale for those looking to pad their collection a bit. Cheers
Great timing! I was just looking at the BR 363 yesterday and told myself to wait until the next sale. I had long kept the BR 465 and Southeastern High Speed on my list until now. Just grabbed the three for a cool $20.85 Canuckistan dollars!
I couldn't really justify buying more after spending too much on the winter sale, but I still had enough left over in Steam to buy the 465 for $5.
Well, 75% off is a good price tag. Was rather surprised seeing Sherman Hill at that discount, considering it's fairly recently released. Got myself Sherman Hill. I wasn't originally too hyped about Clinchfield, but at 75% off I'll took the gamble. Also got myself the Diesel Legends pack, although it's not my favourite route, I do like those BR Blue diesels, and it allows me to use them on another route. And I got myself the ugly BR182, just because it brings Rapid Transit to life. RT just feels empty without it. And I hear it's a fun loco to drive, despite the ugliness. :P And finally, I also got myself the Class 465, which I hear is pretty awesome, despite not adding any services to SEHS, and being fairly limited on Brighton-London. I know what I'm playing this weekend 75% off are pretty nice discounts. Wouldn't mind seeing more of those. Still got some things on the wishlist.
These prices are a great surprise and an opportunity to fill the gaps in the collection. I bow low, DTG \o/
That moment you realise all that’s left is the buggy stuff IOW BR 187 Cane Creek 1 you’re tempted by G6 1 so old it doesn’t layer elsewhere or have much going on - Rapid Transit And a rivet arosa dlc I’m still not convinced on quite yet. It’s clear to see you should hold off your Q4 dlcs until Q1
If Arosa went down to £6.24 I might be tempted again, but in truth it’s just another A to B hour long route, once you take away the scenery, which still isn’t quite up to standard. If WCL was in the extreme sale as I said above, might consider a rebuy if only to thrash the Peak and 47 a bit. Rapid Transit can wait until it’s on sale for £3.99! IOW is so short I wouldn’t even pay £10 for it. Maybe a fiver if they decide to put a bit more discount on it.
I have the chance to live in UAE, so discounted at 75% routes are at less than 20 AED, that means 5,3 us$ or less than 5 euros.. Very very happy
The problem with IoW is not the length, but the quality itself. Ugly water, bad distant scenery and no track unevennes. The signalling is also a bit weird at places, the game expects you to go full throttle towards a red just for it to change to green as you pass the "go via" point.
It has been mentioned several times that DTG have more freedom with discounts on steam, than they have on console platforms. Both Sony and Microsoft curate what, when, and how often can go on sale.
It's different discounts compared to Xmas on several stuff. I guess whichever things didn't sell well enough during Xmas, are now on a bigger discount, while those DLC that sold well enough during Xmas aren't even discounted now.
Picked up the only route I haven’t got Clinchfield at 75% off. Thank you DTG. Also bought the German shunted only 10% off but happy to collect the only products I didn’t have for £16.50
They're not complaining that a sale is on; they are complaining that sales on the other two platforms aren't on. It's about fairness. On top of that these PC discounts are huge. For example you will never see the class 313 for £2.99 on console, ever.
Why do a sale offering software at a lower price in a period where people have less money? Sounds like one for Columbo!
Can't believe Sherman is going so cheaply so soon after it's release. If you're not running on a cutting edge machine the cutdown train length mod is available at https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/m.../i1859-sherman-hill-console-timetable-enabler. They also have a texture enhancement mod as well.
I must say it feels a bit annoying to see Sherman Hill offered for this price so short after release.I think there should be some way to predict prices a bit more. If we have to wait that short, I am lo longer will to pay full price or a 10% discount for a route.
