    I resisted buying this for a long time but now find myself coming back to it all the time . But there seems to be a major problem with the sound volume as even with every thing turned up to full volume i cannot hear a sound on the lap top computer speakers and even with ear phones plugged i can barely hear anything is any one able to advise

    Yes the volume is very low. I could hardly hear the engine in the Class 166 GWR. I don't think it was this quiet before.

    You can edit the GameUserSettings.ini and adjust the sound volumes.

    This is how I have it now:

    MasterSoundVolume=2.500000
    MusicSoundVolume=1.000000
    SFXSoundVolume=2.500000
    AmbienceSoundVolume=2.000000
    DialogueSoundVolume=2.000000
    ExternalAlertVolume=1.500000
    MenuSFXVolume=1.000000

    2.5 means 250% ... 1.0 would be the maximum you can set in the game settings.

    I have been playing with the sounds trying to find the prefect fit but couldn't find the right balance. So I have changed my settings to what you are using and it is just right now.

    Go to documents/my games/ts2prototype/saved/config/windowsnoeditor/gamesusersettings and you find the sound settings
