Thanks for the feedback! I shall simplify the logo by removing the red background effect and making the exisiting black text bolder Also bart2day i shall be uploading the silverlink 314 to creators club
Here's my Class 150/2 in Arriva Trains Wales livery, minus the logos. Having seen this livery many many times being from South Wales this kinda makes me want a route set in Wales even more lol.
I'm back in the livery business! Hopefully, depending on how the guidance for creators club goes, I may be able to share these, considering that they're Debranded and ATW ceases to exist. Fingers Crossed, I guess ATW White/Blue: ATW Blue:
Still in the WIP stage, but here is the start of the 450 NI livery which uses ( similar ) to the 313 shell
And the other variation- really filthy, to complete the set. This was inspired by a photo, where the car had got so dirty that they sent someone out with a powerwasher to make the registry markings and logo readable again. It also had some patches in the roof, so I did a couple of those as well. I changed the registration number, so they can be used together. (Incidentally, that's 2,400 layers. Dirt really piles 'em up)
Well done job and I've made UK trains become NYC Subway ones ECW Class 66 R120 ECW Class 377/4 as Redbird Last is 1972 Stock Mk I & II in MTA Anti Graffiti White
I’ve been working this last few days but I’m off Sunday and Monday so will do some more on them over those couple of days if I can. I wanted to do similar with the grain car as that subs in a lot too but the pixelisation on the sides of the grain car is awful. I’ve done one that isn’t too bad as it has large lettering on the sides but a couple of others I’ve tried with smaller lettering or logos look awful.
Is anyone seeing alt-liveries spawn on freight cars in Sherman Hill? For me it's like Clinchfield: locos show up, but wagons, nothing but default.
Heavy Cargo Solution C40-8W Is there any chance to remove or hide Light Number? ...another logo i think better ............ 1 2 3. I know that all are lame, but what you guys think? 1 , 2 or 3
They've just re-released North Wales Coastal for TS1 with Avanti and TfW branding, so I am assuming it's not a one-off license like the DRS one.
I've finished the Sherman Hill autoracks..... I've done six in total with varying levels of weathering. They are all well over the layer limit even without a massive amount of lettering/wording added and I'm quite mindful of the fact that these will normally be spawning in 100 car trains so don't want to push the layers any further. Anyhow here we have them.... BNSF Maroon, Weathered old BN green, KC&S Yellow, KC&S White, CN Yellow and TTX Yellow...... I'll be uploading them to TSC shortly.
Who You gonna call ? He-Man !!!! one hour of work, 58 objects for one ghostbusters logo xD It's not perfect, but it is possible
That doesn't make any difference to performance. When the game loads a route that has an LD livery in it, in compresses the LD file to a single .jpeg or .png graphic, which 'wraps' around the 3D model like origami. It's always the same filesize, no matter how many layers you may have used in LD: they're all flattened down. The only adverse effect I've noticed from using trans-2000 layer designs is that routes can take a bit longer to load initially (and LD can get really, really sluggish when working on them). But it wouldn't matter if you used all 35,000 unlocked layers, in-game it uses a single-layer graphics file of fixed size.
With only the one font, how do you do this kind of lettering? Adding shapes to make serifs? And 2400 layers? I thought the limit was 300.
That, along with doubling up and some other tricks. There's a mod that lets you bypass the layer cap and use (in theory) over 35,000, although I expect at that density Livery Designer (not the game) would get impossibly sluggish.
New WIP: This actually is an anachronism, as this particular ad livery dates to 2002, and the company itself (Betriebskrankenkasse Landesverband Ost) was merged out of business around 2009. But the bumblebee colors are really striking. At least it's not red!
Here’s my latest creation: ES 64 U2 - 037 in BoxXpress livery. I learned this weekend that the Livery Editor has a maximum total layer cap for all custom liveries saved under the Livery Editor. I hit this cap with my total 40 custom liveries. After the cap has been reached, there is no possibility to add new layers/custom liveries. As an added bonus the game erases all the existing (saved) custom liveries, once the cap has been reached (at least on PS4). Luckily I had a backup of the save game files on my PSplus cloud. It was quite a huge initial shock after spending numerous hours making my custom liveries, to find out that I had a record of 0/300 custom liveries in the game. Do you know, if it’s possible to identify and extract single custom livery files from the TSW2/PS4 save game files, so I could transfer and store them on my PC to free-up layers in the Editor? And whether this method would allow me to restore my custom liveries from my PC back to the TSW2 save game files, when I wish to use them in the game?
That cap must be console specific then as I’m at just over 100 custom liveries at present. I was under the impression the custom livery cap was 300 but maybe that’s just PC?
Indeed, a player can have a maximum of 300 custom liveries in the game, and each livery has a cap of 300 layers. However, this is just half of the reality (at least on consoles), as there is also a maximum total number of layers that can be saved in total (not just per custom livery). In other words, a console player cannot have 300 custom liveries, which all contain the maximum of 300 layers (a total of 90.000 layers). I don't know exactly how many layers in total a console player can have in TSW2, but I had 40 custom liveries (most of which had around 150-300 layers, so around 6000 - 12000 layers in total) and I hit the maximum layer cap, after which I wasn't able to save any additional custom liveries.
