Routes From Tsw To Tsw 2

Sorry if been posted before

I still have TSW 2020 installed on Xbox One and bought and dowloaded a few additional routes. I have now bought TSW 2 in the Lunar sale (Rush Hour version) and downladed the routes that came with TSW 2.

When i go to Manage game and add-ons on TSW2 it also lists the routes for TSW 2020...basically can i install these routes onto TSW2 so i can theoretically play on TSW 2020 and TSW 2?

 

Yes. There are TSW2-specific versions of the routes, but you should have access to them if you bought the TSW2020 item.

 

I will add a route from TSW 2020 to TSW 2 as a test to see what happens

 

Dovetail had to bring old TSW routes to TSW2 as "Preserved Routes" for them to appear in your list of DLC you can manually download. If you own a TSW2020 route but it doesn't show up in the "Manage game and add-ons" list for TSW2, that route was most likely not ported to the new game (I am not sure what percentage at this point haven't made it, if any). It shouldn't matter if you have the TSW2020 route installed locally on your Xbox, as the DLC list for TSW2 is just looking at what licenses you own on your Xbox account. You'll have to download the TSW2 version of the route, regardless of what you have installed on your Xbox from TSW2020.

For game add-ons and other DLC, the first place to check is in your library.

1. In My games & apps, highlight a game (but don’t select it).
2. Press the Menu button  on your controller, and then select Manage game and add-ons.
3. Select the game in the upper-right corner of the screen, and then choose Manage installation on [drive name]. This displays a list of items, including the base game and any available add-ons or game features.
4. Select the checkbox for each item that you want to install (or uncheck to uninstall), and then select Save changes.

 

NEC: Newark-New York is the only route that could not be updated to work with TSW2, alongside its DLC locos.

 

All routes on 2020 with the exception of NEC and associated dlc are available for use on TSW2! So ideally you need to buy the routes for TSW2020 to have them available in both games because buying the 2020 routes in TSW 2 doesn't allow them for use in 2020n

 

Also before the UE 4.26 update the only 2020 route that you could have installed that worked on both. 2020 and TSW2 was GWE. Since the updat you can have all 2020 routes installed on both games.
