Can you add Southwest Trains DLC from London Waterloo to Exeter St Davids and Weymouth, i think this would be a great DLC for TSW 2! The route should have the class 444 and class 159 in either new or old livery. I will put some pictures down below.
I always do more routes and I finish another one would be cool but long tho, let’s just go with London to Southampton
Yeah, I could roll with London-Southampton. Lovely liveries, room for other trains alongside, I see few problems!
The same reason as you didn't type the whole of the word "why". It takes effort and time to generate content, so would you be willing to pay 4 times the normal DLC price for the route, and of course there wouldn't be any other routes being made at the same time because everyone would be wrapped up making this one. That's why routes in TSW are all about 50 miles long. Because they know how to make them within their timeframe and a budget that allows similar pricing
The coolest SWT trains are in my opinion the red class 455 and the blue class 450. They look amazing!
The coolest trains on the LSWR route were the 4 REP units hauling or pushing 4TC trailer units, along with the 33/1's which then took over for the onward journey from Bournemouth to Weymouth.
Whole heartedly agree! The red and blue liveries are really cool, though the 444's white livery is also really cool. I'd split the route at Basingstoke to Southampton and Guildford to Portsmouth. While I'd love the whole route I can only really see it feasible in TSW if it's split somewhere, and hopefully the routes can be merged to get the full SWML
London to Southampton is far more urban though, Sherman Hill is mostly open countryside. It would likely take far longer to model, especially with all the stations. Something like Waterloo to Reading or Southampton to Bournemouth are better sized.
Thank you for telling me about that so it's like Köln Duisburg Railway where it's Urban. The Rural sections might be past Winchester/Basingstoke if the full 79 mi London Waterloo to Southampton is Built. For London Portsmouth another Southwest route owners of BML ECW can run portions of that line before branching off to WCW
It's a slight mis-description to say that the whole Waterloo to Portsmouth range is "urban"... Outer London and Surrey, especially the Southern part of the county are quite rural so I'd say anything up to and including Weybridge would be "urban" with the rest of the route to Guildford being "semi rural". Anything past Guildford to Havant is basically rural (other than the towns) and then you're into Portsmouth, so of the 74 miles between Waterloo and Portsmouth Harbour the top 20 miles or so are urban, the bottom 7 or so miles are urban and everything else is pretty green or outright farmer's fields...
Oh definitely, that would be next up to the two I mentioned. Basically, the three trains that come with the Portsmouth Direct Line in TS would be perrrfect. But I guess we are dreaming too much here
