I’ve noticed there is another Livery Designer competition running and I have some questions… 1. Why is it now being run on an external website for which a registration is required instead of here like the others? 2. Why has it not been mentioned at all on the forum? The closing date is in less than a week and I only found out about it by accident. 3. Why is the timespan to get entries in so ridiculously short? 4. Why has it changed at all?
There was an article put up on dovetail live 2 days ago. https://live.dovetailgames.com/live...le/tsw2-freestyle-livery-designer-competition
Sorry for the ping DTG Natster but could I please get a clarification on "Train Sim World 2 merch"? Merchandising in general means selling real goods (t-shirts, toys, collectables, etc...) and a few google searches didn't bring up any TSW2 merch. Surely you don't mean "win a DLC" right? By searching stricly for "Train Sim World 2 merch" the one and only result is the livery competition article.
Hey everyone, Appreciate it's different hosting the competition through an external site, mostly this is so we can try and get as many people involved as possible. And it's also much more organised and official. We didn't post a forum thread as we created an article with information about it on Thursday however I can certainly look into this for the future. You don't have to be registered in order to participate and this link here might help with that. https://app.player-state.com/challenges/61f8039c2a955b0006180b78 And as for the prize, merch is correct. You will not be competing for a DLC this time but some Train Sim World 2 merchandise or "swag". We don't sell any merchandise but we do have some created to give away (makes it special).
I see, maybe it was more obvious but I'm not familiar at all with these sort of things. Thank you very much for the clarification.
I think you do need to be registered as it asks for a login to participate. This link does get me further than before (total lock-out until registered) but the links on that page to then upload a creation still requires a login or registration. I won’t be participating this time but I was testing it out. The time to upload is still very short too but I suppose that can’t be changed for this comp.
They do occasionally make merch for special occasions (like giveaways, a limited number of things were made for Matt's charity Twitchathons, such as a Euro Fishing Carp Cushion I gave to my uncle who likes fishing). I got these (along with a TSW pin and a TSW pen) at the Crewe Diesel Depot Open Day (I assume the shirt design has been updated).
I think a forum post is definitely needed for this kind of thing. Not everyone has notification of the news articles that are put up. If it’s about widening access to all, you need to take your forum users with you if you go external.
