This part is most interesting. What’s coming up for London Commuter?

Looks good, does anyone know how the ETCS works? I would be very interested in getting to learn this when it comes out.

First critique: trains have no lights on, and no route information screen (guess that will change). It's looking nice though, catenary is very promising. Unfortunately, to me, this is rather short (26 odd kilometres) with only one type of train. Had hoped for a longer route with at least a TRAXX or something to do freight. A bit like a Swiss Cathcart.

Rivet + a entirely new train system. This can only end well.

Well as a fairly local route, I‘m really looking forward to this. I was hoping it might be a bit longer, but it’s a nice route in real life.

My only concern is how busy Luzern will look, but let’s wait and see.

Not exactly a surprise; both the route and the train were unearthed by sleuths some weeks back.

The only surprise is that the route really does end at Sursee: an awfully short route.

UUhhh, that looks amazing, new train, ETCS, just the length is a bit disappointing, was really hoping it would go to Olten at least. If that would have been the case, would have probably been a buy on release, but now, not so sure, will probably wait for a sale. But let's see how it looks once we get some preview streams :)

I agree it looks nice. Perhaps I should consider... Oh wait it's 16 Miles and made by Rivet. Nevermind

The short length might be a function of Rivet reassessing the resources they have available to devote to routes and scenery, having bitten off too much with Arosa and Cornwall and being thrashed for it. 30 km allows a higher level of work-per-mile, if you get what I’m saying.

Still, the potential emptiness of the route troubles me. This isn’t like Cathcart, where traffic is only missing at the terminus station. This is a busy four-track main line.

Looks very good from the screenshots supplied. Does seem rather short though.

If it is highly detailed it might be worth a look despite the length.

I'm NEVER one to complain about route length, but this does seem extremely short- how many station stops for the S-bahn?

Just out of curiosity, how long would it take trains to go from Luzern to Sursee in reality?

25-30 min services. Man that is short but this is good for those who like short runs. But i see it getting boring quite quickly and I bet someone will ask for a route extension

Please try and get the physics somewhat right with the Flirt. The Ge4/4 still jumps and launches forward even after it's "fix".

Especially with no other traffic to mix things up (unless there will be layers from other routes). Reminds me of Cathcart, which i know a lot of people love, but it makes me fall asleep tbh. OTOH, if it's up to that same level of quality wrt scenery and loco design, I'll still probably get it for a new loco to play with.

Short or long. Doesn't matter to me. It's all about the rolling stock, scenery and gameplay. And the route is very busy, nearly 100 trips a day! Let's hope that's reflected in the dlc.

For various reasons, I haven't played IoW or Arosalinie since just after I bought them, but this looks different and promising. Might pop for this one. It's a beautiful part of the world. If they're going to model a medieval city, they had better get it right.

Looks good, but is a bit short. I was hoping for it to go to Olten but it looks better so far than Arosaline. But I was wishing for a second train as this is a busy mainline in real life. Mange this route is some sort of pre-cursor for mainline routes?

It's a completely new route (even if short) with a completely new train, not just reskins. Of course one wouldn't reasonably expect this to be free? So no need to be "smarty".

S Bahn takes about 25 minutes.
    Inter Regio takes about 15

    It’s 9 stops on the S Bahn

Oh nice, a short route? Love those. I’ll gladly take a new Swiss route with bite sized gameplay.

    Wow, that is short.

I wish we could see some longer routes (100+ miles) more akin to TS classic, even if it meant a drop in quality for the scenery and fewer scenarios.

One train type. Only passenger runs. No layer substitutions. May be nice, but for me not for the full price.

Great to see an SBB route, but I am begging you, PLEASE add a second train type.

Also, the DB 18x electrics can layer in.But something else in addition to this.

There are four long distance services along this route, making a half hourly service

    1. Basel - Locarno, which uses the new SBB/SOB Traverso units, and used to use a 420 with Mk4/UIC coaches (and a panorama coach!)
    2. Basel - Luzern, which is usually a 420 with Mk4/UIC
    3. Basel - Chiasso (+), which uses the new Giruno EMUs
    4. Geneva - Luzern, which uses a 460 with Mk4s

Any of these trains would add so much to the experience, particularly the 420

The weathering on the bogies looks brilliant. I hope rivet can get the sounds right.

The s18 sursee - luzern (2010) is technically a full service run, so its short but enclosed. The tracks to olten are busy, so plenty of dlc options.

    Looking forward to this

Nice to have a standard track Swiss route.
But checking the route length it is very short - only 21 km! - and just one train.

I believe this route might be cheaper than the other regular ones!.

On real world this route it have 94 daily trains.
I do not know if will be like a small "Rush Hour" one...
    Nice to have ECTS system.
I like Swiss trains and routes on real world, but I was expecting something much longer, and at least 2 different trains.
Considering is another country other DLCs you have can not be used here for more timetables.
May be some freight trains from MRCE and / or Railpool can be added.
    But again too short.

I will wait for more details, but the fist impression it is not good for me about purchasing it!
