Hi Guys, it's me Driverwoods#1787 and I did the 07:06 Roderau to Dresden Manifest Freight service. Speed was set to 90 kmh 55 mph PZB mode M Brake Mode G in accordance with Riesa-Dresden realistic freight trains driving post by cwf.green. At the end of the Video I ended up getting a SPAD US terminology SSO Stop Signal Overrun since I wasn't used to a DB BR143 Freight train like this one at Dresden Hbf. Since Most of my German freight locomotive Experience was the Bombardier Traxx BR 185.5 & 185.2. Can someone give me tips on how to prevent the Signal Passed at Danger on this video using a DB BR143 freight service?
    Video is this

A tip I would give for when red lights are just feet/metres away from stop at location points is to slow down real slow a bit in advance, when it comes to the end the train should be slow enough to stop at a quick brake (at around 5 carriage lengths be at around 5mph)

Very helpful but for the DB BR143 it tends to brake differently than a Traxx Locomotive 185.2 & 185.5 That stop mark is easily reached by the DB BR185.2 MRCE BR185.5.

very true and the afb throttle whilst it gets up to accurate speeds it doesn’t allow for much leeway

Perhaps run a few tests to better improve your brake accuracy, try running at 10km afb setting then apply minimum brake and check your distance of stop but don’t forget to keep in mind inclines and their counterpart

More times than not I find freight services also require on the marker stops and they can be used to advantage if you brake to early

Approach the stop marker DEAD SLOW. Don't think you can stop on a dime from 40 km/h. I use AFB and the loco brake to bleed my speed down to 10-15 by the time I apply train brake for the stop.

Pretty helpful indeed but AFB is the default speed selector on DB BR143

Then I'd suggest lately after reaching the 500Hz magnet gently apply your brakes to solicitrs' suggested speed and coast to your stopping point. That's quite similar to how it's done IRL. :)
