I am focused on landing big ones. Rod 12ft reel "for big fish" size 4 hook and 20mm tiger nuts. The last 100 fish only 2 peaked 18 lbs... i seriously question the legitimacy of the flavour text and mechanics atm
Personally, I don't think it matters what bait you use. I've had big carp on maggot and caster, and little roach on 18mm boiling and 20mm tiger nuts. Doesn't seem to be any logic to it. Same with line, reels etc. I've had as many snap-offs nearly as fish landed!! Too little tension and they're off climbing up the banking!! Add 1 to the tension and you get snapped. Some major bug fixes needed I think.
You can catch big fish on a small hook + small bait. I was going to say I have in real life but here is one better.
