Good Morning. I've noticed after the recent update we have lost nearly all of the services for the SD70ACE on Sand Patch. I seem to only have the Helper services. Was there any reason why this has happened? Regards, Nathan Kemp.
it was felt that having so many services on SPG for this loco was not realistic on SPG, especially since it has the AC4400CW. Too bad it's about to disappear completely, but you can still enjoy this great locomotive on Sherman Hill.
Not that there's anything unrealistic about SD70ACes on Sand Patch - CSX owns oodles of them - but having so many locos painted Union Pacific yellow in southern Pennsylvania was rather absurd.
Nathan... Sorry but you mean the UP SD70ACE appeared "normally" on Sand Patch Grade route, on timetable? I mean, I made an Scenario since the launch on SH, of that locomotive on SPG, but with Scenario Planner, and using "Out of the Rails" feature. As that locomotive in UP colors can not be by default available there. Despite of the regular "foreign power" seen on real US freight trains.
But that means DTG had to reduce a lot of locos from a lot of routes, because they aren't or they aren't so much in real there. For example: -DB rolling stock at RSN -GP38-2 and GP9 on the mainline part of OSD -182, 143 and dostos at RT -CRR SD 40 and CSX SD 40 at SPG.
You'd be surprise how much operations there is for the Geeps on Oakville Sub that uses the main line (local runs sure, but still). But remember, the CRR SD40 for new journeys is a 'what if' scenario, since there isn't a single SD40 from CSX (or other operators that acquired them) in its original form nowadays, let alone this kind of livery (CSX-S) surviving in the present day. So consider lucky for that compromise, as long as that pack exists (the CRR Black ver., not so much since it ain't supposed to exist anymore).
