Hi guys it's me Driverwoods1787 and I took a DTG Screenshot of this Autorack from Sand Patch Grade CSX Version others the UP version Sherman Hill

My question is this are there European Autoracks of this design? If so they can fit nicely with existing German routes the new Swiss route out of Lucerne and future ÖBB routes. That way can be more variety of Autoracks instead of reusing the Laaers 560s.

Don’t think so. You’ll have a hard time finding anywhere in Europe where the loading gauge allows for such massive cars.

That's the correct one and if you are wondering they are also used to form a Motorail train in German language Autoreisezug. Example of these wagons connected to a Passenger coach WLABmz type is the 20:32 Villach ÖBB Station to Edirne Turkey 05:32. DTG might start adding them to the back of Austrian ÖBB ones if required to do so. That includes Düsseldorf Hbf platforms 19 & 20 if Köln Duisburg Railway was made so is Hamburg Altona which has a loading ramp for Hccrrs Laaers560s and Ddm915s. If you are wondering how the Autoracks in Sand Patch Grade and Sherman Hill are loaded check this video

From what I can see in the Manufacturers webpage a brake selector seen in Riesa Dresden/ Handbrake. Max speed is the same as a Laaers560 loaded 100 kmh Unloaded 120 kmh like the Sggmrss Container Wagon Laaers 560s.

Yes those would be cool services, but to my knowdlege they are extremely rare in europe nowadays.

"Fun" fact, in Italy we had a dedicated wagon for this role specifically, which in fact was classified using the pax train system (as DDm) instead of the freight one (as Sekqrs)

In Italy service of car transporters outside standard freight trains was stopped in 2011

Thanks for telling me about this and for the Ddm 915 Hccrrs waggons the only route where these are seen is Hauptstrecke München-Augsburg the 22:50 München Hbf Augsburg 23:23 its the Nightjet to Hamburg Altona EN490/491 Hans Albers combined with EN424/425 Aachen Brussels Midi and EN420/421 Köln Hbf Düsseldorf and Amsterdam via Duisburg Oberhausen-Arnhem Railway. The ones on the back of that train are actually going to Hamburg Altona where there's a dock for Ddm915s Laaers560s and Hccrrs-waggons. That will require existing owners off RSN Riesa-Dresden and Tharandter Rampe to use their DB 363s to separate the Hccrrs-waggons Laaers 560s and Ddm 915s to the loading Dock. Since you're from Italy is an Austrian ÖBB route to Livorno from Wien Hbf Summer time. It has an E402B Brenner or Tarviso or rare cases the E190 ÖBB 1216 all the way from Wien Hbf.
    ÖBB Livorno service

This was formed by using ÖBB 2070s 2068s Diesel shunters Electric Shunter ÖBB 1063 1064 at Wien Hbf platforms 13-20 motorail docks then at Platforms 1-12 ÖBB 1063 1064 2070 2068s move out of the way to be operated by DB BR 182 Austrian Cousins ÖBB1116/1016s to Tarvis German name for Tarviso.

Clearance restrictions, plus a limited load gauge will prevent this from ever appearing on a European route in real life. European auto racks are of a double deck design and open on the top rack. Therefore they are not of the design you see here, which I believe is 260-290,000lbs (roughly) for the loading gauge. In North America, we have the clearance to handle this, and our loading gauge is right now 432,000lbs, which is double that of the European loading gauge.

You'll also never see double stack container trains, or well cars in Europe either. That and anything over 40ft shipping containers.

Good point but Europe has the Hccrrs waggons which resemble this type of Autoracks
