Frankly your point about reskinning is something I am expecting them to do but of course making the necessary changes to make it a m7a and m3a. I'd be surprised if they made a new model to be honest. It would be easier to just take the existing m7 and m3 models and just modify it like how they did with the Class 387 when they took the body of a 377 and made the necessary changes to make it look like a 387

Good point and for the last point they are capable of modifying base model locomotives to make a new train from it. Cases are F40PH 3C Boston-Providence base model F40PH 2 CAT Caltrain SD40 CSX 1980s Clinchfield modified SD40-2 DB BR112 from DB BR143 MRCE BR182 future ÖBB1116 & 1016 from Rapid Transit DB BR182 . That way it avoids the problem of reskinning and not being fit

I think it's pretty fair to expect them to simply modify the existing M3 and M7 stocks, as yeah, they are pretty similar. The most notable difference for example the central headlight, as the M3 has two of them, while the M3A only has one. The M7s are pretty much identical, as far as I can see. So very minor modifications should be enough to make them.

But I do hope their simulation will be redone with better physics and sounds. And I do hope the route will be just as shaky as the LIRR was. I loved that in LIRR.

DTG ruined the LIRR route...as far as this route sounds go...guarantee they just going to reuse the M7 and M3 and jus put a blue livery on the exterior...and they still gon make the m3 door sounds have parts of m7 sounds which they still haven't fixed...Unless they prove me wrong......and the LIRR timetable is still wack and dead

Yeh I hope they get the track noise right too. This game has been out for nearly 5 years. There's no reason why dtg can't add the proper track noise

I still really don't understand why the team couldn't at least show 1 or 2 pictures to us already, Is it really that hard to show 2 pictures of the upcoming Harlem Line?

Well, yes. Nobody has said that dovetail are ready to showcase the route, or show it off. That's a false expectation you've set up - also, it's only Monday, they have an entire week to fulfill your wishes...

Well if it's still heavily in development, then yeah. Why show something when it's not ready to be shown yet?

Sadly it is. Hopefully this route will get a proper busy timetable to finally give us a real US commuter feel.

Soon Metro North Line will also Be getting an M9A Trainset like the LIRR, which i really do hope to see as a future dlc from the team, since M9A will start replacing the M7A in the near future.

I wonder if they got the bridge right, because this is the main bridge that all Metro North Line go through. I really do hope that they got the bridge correct as well as the sound and ambient and atmosphere of crossing the bridge.

There are Different Between the M3A and M7A from the LIRR and the Metro North as you can see from this picture
    M3A- Metro North

    M3A LIRR

As you can see the difference is the headlight on the top

Inside Cab is also different for the M7 and M7A Metro North

This is what I can find about the difference between these models and the in-game LIRR Model M3 and M7A

Here are pictures of the M7A LIRR Passenger View, which I think they need to especially work on the lighting and the seating design because it looks weird, especially the back part of the seat. What do you guys think?

The lighting on the lirr m3s are way too bright compared to reality. I don't get why dtg did that with the lighting and I hope it's something that can be adjusted to make it more dimmer and realistic

    Can understand your frustration.

Im sure this will be a nice created part of the route, but i stick with my opinion its like london commuter "london vict. To Gatwick airport.

Aboute the route choice of the millions of possibilities, to make it in a good way, where the actual service termini makes sense, i dont get why dtg "waste" this nice route to create only a small part of it.

They put a lot of ressources in a partial section of a line and even before its released, this is another example of a product cant live up to its potential.

Well in general i still support tsw2 with buying most of the content.
Here it will depend if dtg is gonna fix the lirr sound problems. If not, ill get it on a 70% sale or not at all (depends).

If this route dlc would actually end at southeast, it would make the difference to a day 1 purchais.

I like buying the few routes coming for tsw2, shame this might not end up in my collection.

But sry dtg, i just really dont want spend money on a half baked "partial line" decision in the shape of a giant potential waste of a really nice metro line.

Ill pass on this "demo" version for now, and rethink when it can be called a route.

To the untrained eye (me) I would leave this for the same reason I left the M3. It looks nigh on the same as the 7.
If I’m paying for a loco dlc then to me, new seats, slightly different cab, and a different window surround (here’s looking at you 387) doesn’t constitute a new train.

As the game has no vr, no motion rumble etc etc, the trains feel remarkably similiar (asdw keys)

I don’t own this route, so I am unable to comment. Does this route still use the old TSW 1 skybox?
