Morning All I was interested to see Dovetail will be at the show to field all our questions in person . Wonder if there will be any "Show" specials. Who from Dovetail will be there? Chris
https://www.world-of-railways.co.uk/information/the-london-festival-of-railway-modelling Ohh don’t tempt me!!
Previously a strong regular on my yearly event calendar, that weekend is now my sons birthday. Maybe we'll return when he is old enough. Did anyone attend back in 2019? The below was taken prior to opening. There was no chance once the public got to the stand!
I am always interested in the size of the PC/Server running the main screen lol, I hope they have upped the 3 phase to cope with it
I attended back in 2019, the last year it was on before the pandemic. Met Dimitri and spoke to Matt for like an hour about everything from PZB to how the game needed an electrostar in it! You were giving out tshirts and pens and whatnot and you're right it was very busy.
Tickets booked, I'm hoping tp go up on the Saturday if anyone else is thinking about going? Regards Hentis
I had a look at going but would have to get a bus replacement and the journey would take twice as long as it should and for the travel cost and whatnot it's sadly not worth it for me, maybe next time though
I will be there on Saturday. Shall we meet under the stain glassed window at 12:00, with a copy of TSW under our arms
Hah got mine already lol Don't think you'll be able to ,iss me lol yeah 10% discount off of TSW DLC for life lol Hentis
So I went to the show at Ally Pally on Saturday and eventually found the Dovetail stand where there was Chris, Cat Jamie and Matt. They had 3 monitors one showing off the PS5 version of TSW, A PC showing off Train Sim which looked stunning on the monitor, think it was a beast of a PC in the settings dept. It was quite busy there all afternoon (I was chatting to TrainSim-Matt most of the afternoon (Sorry) Not only about TSW but some on Trainsim as well and it was great to chat to Jamie and Chris, I didnt chat to Cat much (sorry). It was a really enjoyable afternoon. Just a couple of pics were taken.
More from the show as well. Some of the layouts were really great. I really do miss my model railway. There were no "Show" exclusives shown. Although I must admit I came away from the show with a good feeling about the future for TSW. Regards Hentis
I was there on Saturday but did not get a chance to chat to anyone on Dovetail stand. Though what I saw looked nice and running smoothly. Did not catch up with Hentis, did not catch the post to me, till after i got back. Some great layouts especially the O gauge ones.
I didnt know what time you got there. My 3 hour journey from Poole took on an extra long stay as we were stuck behind a late running 70805 on an engineers train between Fareham and Guildford and at Guildford were were held up further by the BTP having to remove some people off the train! I got to the show about 1330 spent 20 minutes trying to find the stand and looking around and holding back from buying some locos (lol) I was also recovering from walking up the hill. My Body decided to try and Boss the hill by walking up it, stupidly my brain agreed!!! Really wish I caught the free shuttle bus lol.
