As some people may know, the Sutton & Mole Valley Lines covers a vast area which is probably too big for one route. This cut-down version would offer lots of traffic variety as well as some freight opportunities. With a timetable consisting of over 600 services, this would make it one of the busiest routes in game. With room for cuts to be made, this route would come in at around 90 miles. List of lines included London Waterloo to Dorking London Waterloo to Chessington South London Victoria to West Croydon via Norwood Jn (x) & Selhurst Selhurst to East Croydon (x) West Croydon to Horsham Sutton to Epsom Downs Sutton to Streatham via Wimbledon & Mitcham Junction Routes marked with an x are ones that could be not included with the route to trim down the length to a more stable level Proposed Rolling Stock Class 377/1 & /3 in Southern livery Operates Southern services to West Croydon alongside Class 455s. Used on around 400 trains a day in and out of Victoria, although not all of these services would be included in the route (East Grinstead and Eastbourne express services only) Class 455/7 & /8in South West Trains livery Operates all SWR services to Dorking and Chessington, as well as Waterloo circular services (2Oxx & 2Kxx). Do note that the Class 455/7 contains a Class 508 carriage to boost it to a 4 car set. Currently can be found on around 400 services in and out of Waterloo every day (including ECS) Class 455/8 in Southern livery Operates Southern services to West Croydon, Epsom Downs & Sutton. Will be withdrawn at the May timetable change this year. Currently operates around 50-100 trains a day out of London Victoria. Class 66 in EWS livery + JHA wagons Operates one train a day to Tolworth Sidings, heading from Clapham Junction to Wimbledon via Balham before down the Chessington branch to Tolworth. The main reason for the Streatham to Wimbledon line to be included with this route. Class 700 in ThamesLink livery Operates services along the line from Streatham to Sutton via Wimbledon, as well as making AI appearances at East Croydon. Operates around 25-40 player drivable services a day. Potential DLC 'Desiro City Pack' Class 450 & 707 in Ex South West Trains Livery Operate services to places including Portsmouth, Windsor & Eton Riverside, Weybridge, Basingstoke, Southampton, Reading & Waterloo Circular services (2Rxx & 2Vxx)
You can try combining this with BML to get Croydon area Network. Bigger Plan is Sutton Mole Valley Lines Portsmouth Line SWML BML North Downs Line GWML Paddington-Reading Thameslink ECML South and Cross Rail as the London Region Commuter Pack
Indeed. As I noted above! This would be a nice route to introduce a 4VEP and maybe 2 or 4EPB into TSW2.
