Has anyone actually completed this scenario? I’ve played it several times via the journey mode and every time I get to the part where you reform the train to go back to Middlesbrough after taking out the faulty carriage I can go no further because of a red light. I’ve never saved the game and looking at the map there isn’t any trains coming or any reason for this red light to be on? Going through it just results In a SPAD. Is this a known bug and if so why the hell don’t DTG fix it! Am I wasting my time actually trying to complete this scenario or is there something I’m doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help / info Playing on an original PS4
Yes it’s completable. Without going back over it, sounds from your description that you need to Either set the points correctly to follow the exit route from Yard and/or contact signaller for permission.
Points were set correctly and the signaller just says permission denied wait for signal to change. I’ve set the points both manually and via the map just to be sure but never had any joy.
There's another thread in which someone said that uninstalling the class 20 temporarily solves the problem. Does that work?
Class 20 and not the Class 31? By temporary do you mean whilst you complete the Tank Trouble scenario then reinstall the Class 20 after completing it?
He's on PS4 so I dont think he can uninstall the class 20 parsee unlike you can on the PS5. Regards Hentis
Success! I completed it by doing the Tank Trouble scenario direct from the scenario menu rather than via the journey mode menu. Another TSW2 peculiarity I guess. Weird though how it works by doing it via one menu rather than another? Moral of the story. Always try a task your having a problem with from a different start menu. Anyway thanks for those who have replied and suggest things it was much appreciated. Hopefully this thread wasn’t a waste of time if it helps point towards a possible solution for others who might come up against a similar problem.
This is like the last 3 services in the BR 363 Journey: broken in Journey mode (pathing and objectives don't load); but perfectly doable from Timetable.
