Concerns the Commuter Dresden route. I just drove an ICE here, among other things. The service at 18:59. Already in the previous station shortly before Dresden, TSW crashed. With another 4(!) save points I got closer to my goal. Out of the cab view and slower than necessary because I thought it would use less memory.... In Dresden I stopped 100m from the finish line to somehow be able to complete the service. I'm using the PS4slim here. No other game crashes. All other routes have little to no crashes. But Dresden by far the most! I can drive all services here - as long as they don't go all the way to Dresden. Everything is fine until you get close to Dresden. The same with other services from the local transport timetable. The same problem is also evident with the London Commuter. In both Dresden and London, it has probably been overdone for the PS4. Both routes are hardly playable for me. If any. Seems to me they overdid it on both endpoints here because as soon as I hit Dresden or London it crashes. The Tharandter Rampe route also includes Dresden. I have to look here again. The problem with London is also well known. But Dresden - everything that has to do with Dresden cannot be achieved here for me! Who can confirm that as well?
Same problem here on a standard PS4. It always crashes near Dresden or just after Dresden Mitte station. I'd really like to play this route more since I enjoy driving the German trains, but it crashes too often. Like you wrote, it's probably overdone and a bit too much for the PS4. Even the timetable without the ICE train crashes around Dresden.
You say something about another four save points. Are you saving the game as you go? If you are that is a bad idea as the save function often causes problems as it is broken.
I have just bought this route last week. I suffered the same problem, only with the ICE arriving at Dresden. The fact is the route is really great, with lot of traffic and scenery, mainly on Dresden Hbf. Note: I always crash just before Dresden HBF, not the previous stations. What I do is to save the game + shut down the PS4, and restart it, and no problem to finish the ride and to have all the points. It is a memory issue, as it happens also with other simulators - like Flight one - after being running some time, and lot of AI trains and scenery objects around. Mainly I noticed several freight ones, which are larger, so more need of processing There is a point where there is no more bits available on the processor or memory Of course, as this happens only to the ICE or the DB101 with the IC passenger cars, it is not a big issue for me. For those trains are other routes more suitable for them. I have experienced also some crashes when arriving Munich Hbf, but not always like this case. As there are lot of other different trains to drive, - without any problem - it is not a big issue..
I encountered issues on deiferent timetabkes and journeys where out of the blue I get signal errors and gameplay stops. Has anybody facing this issues as well and knows what to do?
As mentioned I have the route just since some days. So not made many timetables. I run one Scenario, and one timetable for each train: ICE, DB101, BR 363 (2 in this case) / BR143 / BR187 / BR 185 / BR 146 / BR 182 MRCE / Talent. Then for that reason I did not have the red light issue yet. Only the game crash on the ICE as mentioned.
This has (again) reached a level that is absolutely unacceptable. The Route was released in September iirc and there were no fixes beside splitting the timetables into ICE and none ICE. In my Opinion it is Dovetails finest and also Dovetails worse Route, if you get the point here. Looking into this forum the amount of frustration should be worrying but instead DTG is best atm at creating more problems all over again. Harlem Line seems to be broken aswell and again you get the feel they haven't tested it probably (again). Imagine the performance with Steam Trains that are coming, you will have a 15fps experience if the Game stays where it is right now. I absolutely cannot imagine this will work, on PS4 especially, without fundamental changes to the core of the Game. And those changes are long overdue.
