Hi apologies for question but I'm new to TS2022 & STEAM, can external DLC such as the AP Class 86 be added to the Steam version of TS2022? Thanks
TS2022 can only be bought through Steam. There isn't another version of it. If you mean can I add the AP Class 86 to my Steam library, then no you can't. However, you can install the AP Class 86 on to your PC (follow its instructions) and it will work fine within TS2022.
Remember to install the AP Class 86 you need the default model https://store.steampowered.com/app/208379/Train_Simulator_Class_86_Loco_AddOn/
Yes figured that one out, bargain at £2.39! I might just get the North London bundle that also includes this loco which has 70% off at 12.79.
North London Line is part of the Goblin Lines. While the NLL scenarios are not bundled (a mistake IMO since you can't go back and buy it later), you can still get the full route. So if you don't want the scenarios, you can do that. Are you saying the Class 86 comes with the route, BTW? I believe it includes the Class 378.
No - the 86 is in the North London Line Bundle https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/960/North_London_Line_Collection/
I already had the 86 as I did get the North London pack but I have a problem. I got both 66 enhancement along with the 86, the 66 is working perfectly but I have an issue with the 86, the tap changer will not tap up the cam to take power? Any ideas? Loco is powered on, fault light off, line power on, master key on, reverser in forward & fans going! Just won't tap up!
As you mention about the Master Key this must be the AP Class 86 The one thing not mentioned was the AWS - Ctrl+N will switch it on Peter
Oh, THAT bundle. Yeah. Coincidentally, if you already own NLL from Goblin ownership, it might be a good way to pick up all of the trains anyway if you were missing the NLL scenarios. Interestingly enough, only the 59/2 has scenarios for NLL; everything else uses WCMLN.
After giving the AP 86 a good test it really is an excellent loco, if you fancy some old english electric tap changer fun then I can highly recommend it!
I run TS 2022 on my HP non gaming but fairly powerful laptop with onboard Radeon GFX & it runs surprisingly well at 1080, I had to alter the pagefile allocation to prevent out of memory crash but It works & looks great
