London Commuter. Class 387, Service 1m15 @ 6:42. Impossible To Get Gold. Anyone Lucky 2 Get 1?

This service i have tried 6 times in total. Each time only a bronze. Actually impossible to get gold. Anyone else even managed to get a gold.

 

Nope, I only got bronze aswell, missed silver by 5 points, yet didn't over speed, wasnt late either

 

Why not ask DTG support on this issue did you over speed or not?

 

If your score ends in a 5 then you 100% either over-sped, were late or missed your stop point. Under speed limit AP rewards are 30 points and timed checkpoints/stops are usually either 250 or 500 points (stops are 500 for arrival time, 500 for stop position as well). Only way you can get 11,215 would be to have had a 15-point slightly-over-the-limit, remember this only has to be for a fraction of a second and that whole sector is down-rated (or you lost at least 5 points by being late or missing a stop point at a platform)

 

Agreed. You might not realise you are over speeding and can lose a lot of marks for doing so. The HUD doesn’t have to go yellow/red necessarily either. If you are 0.6 or more above the speed limit, you’ll be penalised.

 

I think being 0.1 over gives you 15AP instead of the 30

Minimal if at all overspeed

Defintely a bug, seems like the silver medal is the perfect score or a bit higher.

Or they simply put in scores which are impossible to reach. Noticed that on some other tracks also. Having this right now on an additional service for the Arosaline DLC.
What I did was driving back and forth between a green signal in front of me and a red one behind me. Yes you still get points for driving that way.
Absolutely not the way it is meant to be played, no question. But I refuse to live with bronze medals just because devs can't count right.

 

The target scores for silver and gold on this service are way above the targets for similar services so it will be impossible to get gold. No point trying multiple times as it won’t help.

Pretty sure the display only shows whole numbers above 10 but doesn't round up, so if the speed limit is 50mph then the HUD display will still show 50 for anything from 50.0 to 50.9, however the overspeed penalty limit _does_ round, so 50.0-50.4 will round down to 50 and you're safe, but 50.5 will round up to 51 and you'll get the 15AP downgrade.

 

But sometimes, for whatever reason, it can be basically impossible to keep to the timetable without driving like a maniac.

 

Quite right. Some timetables are impossible to match without driving full throttle and using full brakes at the last possible moment. Meaning there will be none of your passengers standing anymore. And some will surely have a reunion with their last meal...

 

Have tried this service recently, could only achieve bronze too - 11,291.

 

Its mental likes. Impossible to get anywhere near a silver never mind a gold

 

drive at reduced speed, say about 60 mph. i got just over 1000 points away from gold. Real life trains wouldnt run at full speed in the snow lol

 

Cannot believe that this one is still not fixed. Must be 4 years old now. DTG Alex . Please can we have these erroneous scoring thresholds fixed?

 

Actually, trains do go full speed even in snow. They just accelerate slower and brake sooner.

 

I checked and found I'd already driven this one, so can't say what I did especially, but I scored 12482 = silver.
