Southeastern High Speed Rain Sounds

Hi all,

I assume the annoying rain sound effects of hitting the train, as you are going through a tunnel is a known issue?

Given half the route is made up of tunnels it is pretty annoying.

Not played the route in a long time but given it's still happening it'll be safe to assume it's a known issue which they aren't interested in fixing..

 

Isn't this the same issue as light shining into the cab when inside a tunnel, as in they didn't set the tunnel up correctly in the first place?

 

There’s obviously far bigger fixes out there but it is an annoying one, that should really be an easy win.

 

I haven’t really noticed a light issue in the tunnels. Although I did notice that the lampposts are unlit on the early evening runs.

 

I know at one point when you drove into the tunnel from STP there was a fairly long section where sunlight still came into the cab even though you were underground and it was to do with tunnel occlusion. Not sure if the rain would also come through at that point

 

There's also the case of that weird blue color popping up when entering a tunnel before fading away

 

Yeah... tunnels are obviously an issue

 

I'm not hopeful given that I discovered that you can still hear the rain when driving through one of tunnels on RRO.
