Having problem that the download stops sometimes for a min or 2 and then it continues. Why is that? You other people have the same problem?
No we other people don't have the problem Nothing to do with the Game - it is your Internet Connection dropping out. Contact STEAM
No, I don't. I mean, I have a 40 MBPS connection but Steam still caps at 5 MBPS, so I do complain about that and having to spend 7 hours redownloading my entire TS installation one day...but at least it's not UKTS where it takes 13 hours (if you're lucky) to download a 1 GB file.
Definitely internet connection. I have a wobbly internet connection and it has happened to me. Just wait and it will reconnect and finish correctly.
DTG only make the game - they have no control in how you download it. Other Games might have a smaller Download than TS Classic The game requires Storage: 40 GB or more available space (Additional Add-Ons will require more) Go in to your Steam Client > Steam > Settings > Downloads See if Steam is downloading from your Download Region Clear the Download Cache Don't try playing another game whist Train Simulator is Downloading - doing so robs the bandwidth available.
Why do you say that? DTG are not downloading the game files - Steam is - without those files from Steam you cannot play the game.
And that is because you are not a Premium Subscriber If you want Faster Downloads pay the £2.50 for an entire month. In those 13 hours you could get most of what is on the site But then you would not be able to moan about it
Pardon me. I wasn't moaning. I was explaining how it is for non-subscribers and saying, by contrast, downloading from Steam or anywhere else is a luxury you get for free, i.e. don't complain.
Is it not depending which ISP you have about the download speed? I think you can't do anything about the download speed on Steam.
No, the game files are uploaded by DTG to Steam's Akamai servers afaik. Try selecting a different download region in your Steam settings, maybe that helps.
I think you are confusing two different things I was talking to Cyclone about UKTS and downloads from that site - nothing to do with Steam
And I was responding that I was in no way "whining", merely making the comparison. We were not talking about Steam at all. And no, DTG does not own the Steam servers; even buying direct from them gets you a download code on Steam.
