Speaking of "Classic" Screenshots, does anyone else have issues with the F4-HUD screenshot button since the 'classic update'? Pressing the button no longer results in a crisp CLICK. Nor can I see the captures I took (or assumed I took) either in the Windows Steam App or in my C-drive USERS\<MyName>\Pictures directory.

My inability to take screenshots via the F4-HUD button or Cntrl-S, which began following the "classic" update, at last sorted itself out. Here are three captures from this evening's QD on Settle to Carlisle route, featuring a CW LNWR 2-2-2-2 Greater Britain in Lavender & Cream livery hauling five MT LNWR carriages:

Before it righted itself, were you able to use the Steam [F12] for screenshots?

Indeed I was. However, I discovered that doing it that way doesn't automatically remove F4 / F5 HUDs, limiting its usefulness since the majority of my captures are made spur-of-the-moment on-the-fly.

Yesterday, Caledonia Works announced (via Facebook) four locomotive updates, three for locos I own. I DL'd them, but have so far installed only one . . . the LSWR 700 class. I gave it a quick test drive on (GAD) West of England Mainline. I did not intend to capture images. When I saw how nice the 700 looks in LSWR (Urie) Goods Green, I simply couldn't resist.

Thanks that was the aim of these shots! I set out from Crewe last night & completed the whole North Wales coast taking lots of rain filled shots on the way, imagine my dismay when I checked the pic folder to find it contained no new shots! Thanks TS Classic update!! fixed now, I`ll do some more later on with no doubt another freight working :)

We're back on (GAD) West of England Mainline, with images captured further down the line those seen in my previous post. I reverted to the (CW) SECR class C, this time in Wartime Gray livery. It pulls (MT) birdcage coaches.

Some years ago, the 101 093 is arriving at Riesa carrying the EuroCity "Hungaria" Budapest - Hamburg Haltona via Prague, Dresden, Leipzig and Berlin. Yes, I love so much these international trains with non-orthodox carriages and colour schemes.

Thanks for posting these shots, I wasn't even aware of the GAD Western Mainline route, I am now LOL. Cheers. Just had a blast down the line with this BMG Light Pacific with a rake of Bulleid coaches. 20220426222618_1.jpg 20220426222749_1.jpg
What a stunning route, just perfect for Southern Steamers.

A stunning route indeed. What's more, assuming all goes as planned it will be expanded over time, making it even better suited to heavy-duty steam such as the Light Pacific seen in your captures.

As for me, I too drove what I assume is the entire mainline (as of now) yesterday, from Exeter Central to Axminister. As for motive power, I chose a loco about as under-powered as one can get that scales the route's sometimes steep gradients while maintaining 'decent' speed, a (CW) LB&SCR D1 class 0-4-2T, in Maunsell Southern Green. It pulls four rather spiffy looking Maunsell carriages. I utilized CW's 'Auto-fireman' function the entire way, which led to occasional worries when boiler water dropped lower than I am comfortable with before Otto decided to replenish it. But replenish it he did.

By sheer coincidence, my first capture shows the train approaching, from the opposite direction, what looks to be the road crossing seen in Craigie-C's second image:

The loco pictured below is freeware, available at The Marshaling Yard Discord Server. Created by Pembrokeshire Works, it depicts an 1860s British steam locomotive, a design apparently sold to a number of railways. It comes in quite a variety of liveries, most unnamed. This variant, however, sports Cambrian Railways in striped black. It is the only variant featuring a 'half-cab' (the partial roof atop the wind/exhaust guard they all sport). I mated it to four GWR 6-wheel carriages (themselves BLS reskins), the Cambrian having been absorbed into the GWR. The loco, as you might image, is no speed demon, best suited to slow branch-line duty (or a full-fledged 1860s British railway, which I believe to be nonexistent in TS.) It is seen on (SSS) Riviera Lines - GWR Era, the short Heathfield to Newton Abbot Branch Platform Quick-Drive.

    Three captures at Heathfield:
