Listening to the Mega Sim video, although the route has released, but MS says at 6pm it will be discounted by 25% to £14.99. The discount is fantastic and should be used for all new releases. The detail in the route is fantastic. I was interested in buying it until I heard the discount. Apparently the discount was set for 6pm and the route was released earlier so hold back on your purchase if you want a £5 reduction. The route has some great tutorials and an automatic mode which is good.
It's not the first new release discount DTG have done tbf. I'm (reasonably) sure I bought either WCML-S or Birmingham XC at a discount on release. I agree I hope it continues to be a thing though. I will most likely get the Glasgow Subway, it's not an area that interests me particularly but I reckon it's worth getting for its quirkiness alone.
Just purchased my copy and it looks brilliant. Hope DTG use this discount in future for pre-releases. Unfortunately the thread on “Live” is not replyable too.
To clarify the post, on the thread linked above. There was always a launch discount, but it wasn't live until around 6pm (wires crossed with Valve). The Add-on went live at 2pm, so the intention was to let people know so they didn't purchase before the discount went live.
Which was beyond your control and to be fair the notification about the price went up really quick so cant fault DTG for not mentioning it.
