would like to see more ai trains on the maps doing different jobs like in real life especially on the sand patch and the other freight maps as i feel the maps are empty and is it possible to make the immersive control scheme for the preserved classics
You can use the immersive control scheme on preserved collections just not on the scenarios. With regards to ai numbers I guess that depends to what it's like in real life like rush hour was the first time we got massive busy routes but that has shown problems though hopefully this will get ironed out and fixed
oh i didnt know that i could use the immersive control on preserved i was looking at videos of the sandpatch on youtube in real life and its packed with cars trains and trains doing different jobs like switching and stuff like that
Because the game has limited stock assets it would be hard to make it "as busy as real life" when you've only got one or two types of trains to work with. IRL you've got 40-50 years worth of assets floating around
ahh i see just thought i would ask if it was possible to do even if its adding more passing trains going up and down the line
It is of course "possible" but there are people who would then start saying that it's not realistic to have 400 services of the same trains in a day or whatever loco doing shunting services, so it's a trade off
As can be seen on some Creator's Club scenarios, even trains standing on yards look good. There is one issue: There is a chance that weaker platforms wouldn't handle that. I don't know how it's now, but some time ago consoles had reduced timetable for that reason...
Not true. 400 of the same train takes up very little additional space in memory, whereas three or four different trains would take up three or four times as much memory, so it's differentiation that machines (generally older consoles) can't manage without falling over
