What do you hope the new mysterious US route could be? I'm hoping it's a new Amtrak route with freight services. I would like to see another commuter route.
If they don't create purely BNSF route, than they should create route that could benefit form previous releases (like german content)
In the Harlem line, either the ummm the preview or the release stream, they DID tease the M8 soo maybbee this could be NEC or something then again it could be Amtrak or freight
I hope it’ll go all the way up to new London Connecticut then they can include Connecticut shoreline east service’s.
Since so many people want to see BNSF, I honestly think they should do the Racetrack with both Metra and BNSF. Yes ik DTG has no licensing with Metra. Still doesn’t change that I want it. Something out of Florida would also be great such as Miami-Mangonia Park or Brightline. Would honestly be cool with another California route, maybe in the southern part though. Sounder would also be great. Anything with an F59 or Charger would be amazing and are much needed in TSW. Heck even another route with an F40 or MP36 would be great. Just want to see something that’s not in the Northeast. New York has had its time to shine, now DTG needs to let other regions have the same spotlight. If DTG were to make another NEC route, I’d love to see DC-Baltimore or NY-Philadelphia
Maybe it’ll be the MBta Worcester/Framingham line because one of the Amtrak travels on that rail line to up to Albany and then Canada.
I see this as NJ Transit Raritan Valley Line mode switch Newark Penn Station for NY Penn Station or NEC Philadelphia Trenton Newark Airport NY Penn Station with Raritan Valley Line as it's merged route.
You're thinking of the Lake Shore Limited. It's a long distance train, meaning it only does daily service. You would only get 2 mainline services with it, making it almost pointless to add. If anything DTG should do the Lowell and Haverhill line as Amtrak Downeaster operates on sections of both lines. That in reality has 5 roundtrips, making it much more practical. That means 5 P42 services and 5 F40 services. Although it's still not a lot, it's a lot more reasonable than just 2 services. Don't get me wrong, I like the Framingham/Worchester Line. But if you want an MBTA route that actually stands a chance of having Amtrak trains running on it, the Lowell and Haverhill lines is the way to go
Am thinking the same thing I hope it is. I just hope they don't throw a curveball at us and say is freight after not telling us what it is.
A few personal speculations I have, though its currently up in the air for what is to come.... -Cajon Pass (San Bernardino-Victorville/Barstrow) with BNSF ES44 or C44-9W and SD40-2 or B40-8W, UP traffic sub from SH. -Tehachapi Pass Modern (Bakersfield - Mojave) with BNSF ES44 or C44-9W and BNSF/UP Geep, UP traffic sub from SH. -Tehahcapi Pass 1980's (Bakersfield - Mojave) with ATSF SD40-2 and SP SD40T-2 (I know loco choice is lazy, but highly realistic given DTGs track record) -Northeast Corridor (Unknown Location) with AMTK ACS-64 and whatever the local commuter line is (NJT/MTA/MBTA) -Capitol Corridor (San Jose-Emeryville) with CDTX F59PHI and UP Geep. UP traffic sub from SH, Caltrain traffic sub from PC.
Also just to throw it out there. No disrespect to the people who love freight. I just prefer passenger routes.

If it's another Amtrak route I'm hoping for one of their commuter lines. Downeaster or Hartford Line. I would like them to add a long distance route but I know that is difficult to do. Unless they do Miami to W Palm Beach. You have Silver Star/Meteor before covid and the Palmetto. Plus there's Tri Rail and Brightline. The line is also CSX owned.
DTG doesnt have Tri-Rail Branding, and Brightline runs on FEC trackage, not CSX. And DTG also doesn't have an FEC license either.
Things are always bounded to change. Just look at BNSF. Plus TSW has some faces that are not in TS such as MBTA. Operators may gain interest in wanting to be in TSW because of its overall better graphics
Until I see something different, I'm still ruling out operators such as Metrolink, Coaster, Metra, SEPTA, MARC, and Tri-Rail.
All are excellent ideas for NEC that can be Trenton New Brunswick Newark Airport NY Penn NJ Transit or combined NJ Transit MTA New Haven Line which is NEC Newark, NJ to New Haven, CT 84 mi. High speed train on those is the Avelia Liberty assuming Acela Express arrives as part of Rush Hour Train Pack with Class 700 BML ICE-T DB BR411/415
if it’s the Amtrak Downeaster then they’ll add the two MBta commuter line’s from north station Lowell/Haverhill line i hope it’s the Amtrak Downeaster.
Honestly hope it's either a US West Coast or Chicago route would be great for Train Sim World 2... it would be nice to see Chicago North Western at its prime heyday operations, shuttling passengers from the suburbs to Chicago, not mentioning the E8 and F units they used.
My guess would for the new us route could either be a Route based on NJ Transit, Amtrak, or maybe the first US steam locomotive route.
I hoping for but doubt is going to be something that would be Southern Pacific based maybe something like Donner Pass
And fun fact it was them that wanted to be in gamehttps://twitter.com/mbta_cr/status/1265717943280775178?s=21&t=3mIfj_-UR-3bO1QCbL9Q0g
The previous DTG's U.S route was passenger route (The Harlem Line), and because the last DTG's US freight route was released about 6 months ago (Sherman Hill), i'm pretty confidence that the next US route from DTG would be freight route.
A shame that Sunrail can’t/won’t give a licence. I’m quite Into the A-Line as portrayed in Run 8 (set before Sunrail) and it would be interesting to see a TSW take on part of it. Albeit the commuter rail has apparently kicked off most of the freight these days. You would have scope for a fair bit of Amtrak action too including the famous Auto Train.
My hopes are Metra Racetrack with Amtrak and BNSF (Metra may come soon as there's no licence for it [yet])
I mean it's pretty predictable from the beginning hahaha. There's no way DTG just let it sit in the corner of the shed.
Problem for 30th St to Thorndale is that DTG lacks a SEPTA license for those services. On the other if SEPTA license was obtained ACS-64 600-670 can now be reskinned as ACS-64 901-915 SEPTA with Comet II-IV or MLV IIIs that can be later reskinned to NJ Transit paint on Keystone Corridor 30th st to Harrisburg via Thorndale
New Orleans streetcar, SD tram line, Metra, Denver, Detriot Q line, Seattle transit, Houston transit. I can go on
