Unofficial Screenshot Contest 2022 Week 18

Rules:
- Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes.
- You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish.
- 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory.
- Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves).
- The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge).

Entries will close at 9:00 PM BST on Friday, May 13th and will be judged by me - Blazin

In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 5 PM Sunday, 15th May a new thread will be created using the theme with the highest votes in this weeks poll.

The peace and quiet of a South Wales surburban housing estate is rudely shattered by a pair of Class 56 locos with a rake of empty BSC JTA/JUA wagons, headed for the Port Talbot Docks.

 

156 474 on an early morning run through the Dumbarton suburbs heading for Glasgow Queen St.

 

1999 and a panoramic view of the busy West Midlands suburb of Wolverhampton.

I have decided the results for this weeks contest, and I must certainly say from every contest that I've been the judge of, the screenshots from this week has been the hardest to judge! So many beautiful screenshots of amazing locos in the surbuban areas.

Here are the winners:
In 3rd place, paulc with a great screenshot of a Class 66 passing through the Liverpool area.

In 2nd place is cscarpenter with an amazing screenshot of a Class 86 passing through a busy area in the suburbs of Wolverhampton. I love the construction work and distant buildings in the background, it certainly made it a really atmospheric screenshot.

And in 1st place, is malakhit , this has to be one of the best night screenshots I've seen taken in the game. I honestly can't describe how good this screenshot is with words. The screenshot describes itself in my opinion so I don't think I even have to put it into words anyway.

Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you so much to everyone who participated for this week! It's always a pleasure to see the wonderful screenshots that are submitted each week. I hand Week 19 of the Unofficial Screenshot Contest 2022 to malakhit , can't wait to see what theme you choose.

I have sent you a PM regarding setting up next weeks thread. If we don't have a response by close of play tomorrow we will go with the theme chosen in this week's poll which is High Speed.
Hope you are able to respond and set up the new thread, please shout if you need any help or advice.

Are we going with the standby theme then?

 

Looks like it. This has never happened to me before, so do I just make another thread with the backup theme and judge again?

 

I would be tempted to wait till later on today in case Malakhit has been away for the weekend. He hasn't been on the forum since last Thursday.

If you are happy to remain as judge for next week that is fine by me, you can also extend the deadline if you wish to give folks more time to contribute, we have done this in the past a couple of times.
Alternatively if you would prefer to hand over the reins to someone else I would be happy to offer my services. The choice is entirely yours.
