PC C40-8w Fully Serviced Achievement Not Working

The Fully Serviced achievement required to complete 5 services. I did so, using journey mode, but only three of them are registered as completed. In game they are shown as completed. Looks like something is not working here. It is not that it is not working at all, but sometimes it seems to work other times it does not.

 

Try doing the timetable and see if that works

 

I may try that, but it does not solve this bug.

 

Journeys contain both scenarios and timetable services. Looking at the C40-8w journeys, the first chapter contains the loco tutorial and all three scenarios; it's not until journey chapter two that the timetable services start. I would expect that two more of those will unlock the trophy.

I am very well aware of the difference between scenarios and timetable services. I played and completed the four coal hauling services and 2 of the N... services and probably a few more.So it really is a problem with the services.

 

Figured you of all people would be, but it's generally good to start with the most most obvious possibility.

I bought the C40 in the last Steam sale but haven't done anything with it yet. This is a good excuse to do so, since if I have the same problem, I can at least second your complaint. Are you also running the Steam version, and did you simply run down the journeys in order from the top?

 

Following up, Rudolf, I may be able to second you on the problem. I've been running the C40-8w journeys from the beginning, and the chapter 1 tutorial + three scenarios obviously didn't log for the achievement; then the chapter 2 4-part U877 coal hauling services all did log; but the first service of chapter 3, N401 - Coal - Brunswick to Newell, did not for some reason. It shows as completed in the journey menu and on the timetable, but the Steam achievment still shows 4/5. It's always possible there's a delay (at least one of the U877 services didn't log with Steam until after I had exited the game, though not this one), so I'll check again later.

The next service I run that does register will unlock the achievement, so are you able to tell me which other one(s) didn't work for you so I can run them first?

 

I tend to forget what I exactly run and I am not always monitoring the achievements, so I cannot help you here. I also do not know if this happens randomly or if it bound to a specific service. I did not try to do the save service again just to check if I get the achievement. It is not that important.

 

Please excuse the delay; a broken BIOS update for my MSI motherboard resulted in my PC only booting into BIOS from that point on and also broke their own flash update feature, and then their failsafe flashback feature on the back of the motherboard resulted in the PC not booting at all to anything. Three days, one vow to never buy MSI again, and one replacement motherboard from ASUS, and I'm ready to go again.

I've now finished journey chapter three, and not one of the four services there registered for the Fully Serviced achievement, so I'm still sitting at 4/5 going into the last four. I'll update again when I've finished those. Meantime, I can definitely second you on the existence of the bug.

 

Okay, completed all C40-8w journeys. Results for the Fully Serviced achievement were:
Chapter 1 - Tutorial + scenarios, so n/a
Chapter 2 - Services U877-A, B, C, D - all registered for the achievement
Chapter 3 - Services N401, N406, N403, N404 - none registered
Chapter 4 - Q276, K145, Q008, V619 - none registered

Also, I didn't notice the Ticket to Ride achievement until before I started chapter 4, but all four of those services did register for that one.

Anyway, I can confirm the problem, and I'm opening a support ticket. Suggest you do the same if you haven't already.

Follow-up: I checked and saw that the U877A thru D services are the only four that are unique to the C40-8w, which made me worry that the achievement was only counting unique C40 services and was thus un-unlockable. However, I ran the short X790 service from the timetable, and that did trip the achievement, so you can always give that a try when you have 10 minutes or so. Unfortunately, I can't be of any more help now that I've unlocked it myself.

 

Thanks, I played two more services using the timetable and both of them were not counted. I will try a replay of the unique C40 services now and see if that works.

I have seen I played all four of them using the journey, but only 3 of them are registered for the achievement.. I will give it a try with the timetable and see what happens.

EDIT. played one timetable service, in the U877 series and got the achievement. There also may be delays in processing the data for some reason.

 

It's very odd that both of us playing the Journey mode would get different results, unless it has something to do with the fact that you've also played timetable services and I played everything as journeys. Maybe the problem is more complex than just a flag not being tripped. Hopefully DTG figures it out.
