    Hello there!

I have downloaded some freeware assets from Railworks Austria, but I don´t know how to import them into the game. I have moved the downloaded folders in the assets folder of Train Simulator, but nothing changed.

    Thanks in advance!

Have you read the read me file that comes with the content you downloaded from Railworks Austria.

Usual procedure is to use Package Manager in the TS Utilities sub programme. You may need to access this from the root folder of your TS (Railworks) install in Windows/File Explorer.

As Mike says, if all else fails unzip the archive with 7-zip or Winzip and look for a readme file, if provided.

Tell us which Downloads and we can advise on the process to get them in to the game if they are not in a *.rwp file

Even if it is an RWP file, those open like any other archive, so can still be dragged in. I do it all the time for scenarios.

People are assuming the OP actually knows how to install files correctly - which judging by the help question he might not know.

It is his first post here and might not know how to do stuff which comes natural to most of us.

That’s why I tried to explain where to find the Package Manager.

What do you mean by nothing changed? Are there folders in your Assets folder section for some of these Austrian/German developers already? If the contents of the folders (scenery assets, etc) are showing the same date and volume, then nothing will be overwritten, so, no, nothing will change, but, we need you to clarify what you mean, please?

Understandable. But here's the thing. To use the package manager, you have to find the Railworks directory. By that point, you're already there. Just open the archive and drag it in. :D

Reskins also still need file management even using a package manager, so file knowledge will be necessary.

But that only works if you have Opened the Archive - just dragging the *.rwp in to Assets won't work
