I'm on Steam. Maybe after Spirit of Steam update it stopped working? Just tried West Somerset Pit Stop mission. Not working.
Not sure why this bug would suddenly appear- the C40 to the best of my knowledge hasn't had an update in ages. Unless it was a SPG route update that buggered the fuel pumps?
I can try running it again. Just to duplicate what you're doing, did you enter the tutorial through the Journey or Scenario menu?
You'll need to be much more specific for this one. Which service in chapter 2, which brakes, and when exactly in the service? Regarding the fueling in the C40 intro, you're absolutely right. After the first try, I ran it again, this time making sure both the auto and independent brakes were fully engaged and the reverser in neutral in case it was a silent safety thing--no go, even after 10 minutes. I then ran it once more from the Scenario instead of the Journey menu, still no. Finally, I tried the fueling scenario for the GP38-2, which worked fine. According to the achievement, I ran this successfully on May 22, so it doesn't seem a stretch that the May 30th patch may be the culprit as solicitr suggested, since it did touch the C40 ("Improved operation of CSX C40-8W’s independent brake to work to correct pressures"). May be a case of bumping one end of a shelf and knocking something over on the other end, as is an eternal hazard in software logic. Anyway, please open a ticket, and I will as well, because number of reports does matter.
Certainly appears to be the case- though I have no idea how adjusting brake pressure would screw up the fuel system! And, since the GP38 fuels just fine, it has to be the C40.
Just one of those things. Matt sometimes will go into bugfix details in the streams, and the domino effect is real.
Get ready to laugh, every time you open and close the valve the loco gets 1-2 gallons of fuel added. A DTG bug at its finest.
Ha! Didn't notice that. I did see the fuel number drop by a gallon every few minutes as the loco idled, which I thought was a nice touch. Meanwhile, I've gotten an email that the ticket had closed, but it was a boilerplate with no specific info and kinda vague wording. I sent a reply asking for some clarification.
