Travel Well. Beyond Expectations Loco: BR Class 803, BR Class 365 Route ECML South London - Peterborough.
This Metro-North Kawasaki M8 is about to cross over from 3rd rail to overhead lines, the first pole visible just at the end of the station.
Same story, different place. This Class 33 - being diesel-electric itself - runs past the end of 3rd rail territory.
"I got really excited when my father said he was taking us to see the Panto this Christmas!" "Should have known better. " (UK Humour Warning Alert required)
Oh wow, that just screams winner, IMHO it is going to take one heck of a shot to beat it. In all my time on here, that has to be one of the best shots I ever seen, regardless of theme / thread. Well done.
Overhead line equipment meets overhead power lines with an LNER class 800 passing through. Loco: AP class 800 Route: Leeds Lines (Doncaster - Leeds - York)
A hull trains class 802 has a little arc from the pantograph to the OHLE during an early morning journey from Hull to Kings Cross on the ECML. Route: ECML Kings Cross - Leeds - York Loco: AP Class 800
Hi all, the deadline has been reached & a decision has to be made. Yet again a collection of brilliant shots from all, but I have finally decided to go with :- In 3rd place - triznya.andras with this cracking Kawasaki M8 heading for the OHLE In 2nd place & runner up for this week - trainsandgames with this head on 3rd rail 379 shot. Finally I just had to go with this amazing shot which just captures the theme perfectly. Everything about this shot is superb, from the clever use of depth of field, to the centrally positioned distant class 86, the vertical OHLE posts at the perfect 90 degree angle, to me this is just the spot on all round brilliant screenshot. Well done Pookeyhead, I award you the honour of this weeks winner and our judge & Jury for next week.
Would also like to include a special mention to Craigie-C for the humourous "Panto" shot. and to Nick-Y for this beautiful landscape perspective shot. A great selection of shots from all, thank you for taking the time and effort to contribute.
Certainly can't argue with the choice of winning shot this week. Well done Pookeyhead that is one amazing screenshot.
