Hi guys. As many as of you know, there are two discounts in the Xbox Store. Harlem Line and Tharandter Rampe. I want to get Tharandter Rampe but are there any crashes or bugs not fixed? I am playing on Xbox One S. Thank you. Noel06
My main issues with it are 1: freight services where no matter how long I wait, the red light at the start never changes, guessing I am missing some kind of safety system I don't know how to enable. 2: the sound akin to a swarm of angry mosquitoes which is omnipresent inside the cabs of most locos I have tried on this route on series X. Not sure if an audio bug or intentional but nothing I have shut off so far has stopped it and for now I have turned my speakers off whenever attempting a run on it..
I seem to remember that the initial red light is because each time you start there's always a train on your path that has yet to reach a safe distance in order to allow yours to start moving. The easiest thing to do is pull up the minimap, scroll along the blue line until you find the offending train and then follow it until it passes thru a signal that triggers to green. When the entire train has gone beyond safe distance simply close the map and contact the signaller. You should then get a 'proceed....' and the signal light will change as you approach it. I also vaguely remember a service that you have to wait for a train that's yet to arrive, so not only do you have to twiddle your thumbs til it passes you, there's also the wait til it's far enough in front to allow you to proceed. I've done a fair chunk of the freight services and although the wait times can be quite long (the downside to moving freight on a busy line) they've all been doable. [edit] I might be wrong here but I do seem to recall that the 185 estimated completion times were quite varied so I'm guessing those wait times are already calculated for you. But to answer the op's question: I'm route level 41 and have had no issues whatsoever during that time on Series X. The 'out of memory' thing (Series S) as well as the "angry mosquitoes" (all XBoxes) are part and parcel of the console anyway so if you can live with them (as most do) then for me it's a highly recommended route.
Yeah, see I am used to that, but this, this sounds like someone has positioned one of those old horrible flickery fluorescent tubes right next to each of my ears, and they're buzzing away at a horrible high pitch. Also this doesn't go away the way that does when you switch camera views to the back of the train and come back to the cab.
That is just how the train sounds in real life. You get a constant buzzing and it's actually louder irl. Tsg added it I think into the 185.5 on rro in an update so the sound got carried over since it's the better sound.
There are issues where some of the services tell you to go into an area with no ohle which means if you took an electric loco there, you would lose power, the only solution is to like speed so you don't lose all the speed while going uphill.
Ok, so after a few more drives on this route, I did get one OOM on my series S, so I thought I'd post it here. I did hope it would be smooth to run this route but it seems sadly not.
Had two crashes on Xbox Series X this week after picking the route up while on sale, both while approaching Dresden not long after departing Plauen. Not the end of the world but mighty annoying after driving for 45 minutes and being so close to the end!
Same here at level 43 and no issues on the Series X. And since the jackhammer effect is gone it is so nice!
Sadly the route still crashes at Dresden In 4K mode, on series s, it’s fine in HD mode but looks terrible imo. However if you don’t own the DB br 101 it should be fine as that’s very memory intensive
