On HMA, there are some football fields around the track. And there is actually ambient sound of a german non-professional soccer game. You can even understand a few of the voices and screams. It's really nice!
It looks like the goals are lying down though, they have been put in the game the wrong way around, what looks like the crossbar currently should be on the floor.
Not sure it has been mentioned before, but I like how the rain on the windscreen of the HST starts moving upwards when you reach higher speeds.
Near Yankee stadium you cab hear baseball noises. a crowd , hitting of a ball. Bit strangs at 1 am though.
You can also hear an express train presumably the ACS64 as sounds are similiar running inside the tunnel when pulling into GCT in one of the journey scenarios..
Extra innings. Quite a few night games go into the wee hours each season. What would be strange is those sounds in the off season (Nov-Feb).
I was stuck at a red light somewhere between Jamaica and Mineola on LIRR, got out of the cab for a walk round and a nosey into the back gardens of the houses and you can hear music and people talking and laughing like at a Summer bbq.
Not any more, since MLB has made permanent the stupid runner-on-second rule. I really thought it wasn't possible to have a worse Commissioner than Bud Selig, but Rob Manfred is proving me wrong.
My understanding is that this rule was made permanent because the players demanded it during the recent contract talks. Coaches and managers were also supporting it. Anyway, we're way off-topic now.
Today while doing some shunting and coupling cars on the Cane Creek branch I noticed the EOTD making some humming or high pitching noise. Pretty cool little detail. I suppose it's there on every american route with EOTDs, but have never noticed it before.
On the G6, you can see the mark where the Vossloh "arrow" should be on. It never was there on due to licensing I think.
Is there a trick to enter it? I unlocked the mastery (both tiers), but the door is still only open a crack and won't budge.
How did you complete the first tier, go at 70mph but not more than 75 mph achievement? I reached 100 kmh and kept within 110 kmh but it never triggered for me. I did it with a freight train. Does it have to be a passenger train?
Hm. Thank you. But not working for me. Anyone else having problems with this one on the Epic version?
Some great hidden areas around the Aschaffenburg HBF end at the non electrified branch & docks of MSB, there are a few places off track to explore there! Hut with apparent closed door but you can go inside..... Stacker at the docs....
Haha yeah I've got the machine shop making me some! Under the 8F there is a valve you can work? I think it's called a heat valve? Not sure if it changes anything about the performance of the engine?!?
I meant the fact that IRL Jubilee is a 3-valve loco with the third valve being in the middle under the boiler (that little thing poking out next to the middle headlamp). Well, the valve controls a rod that should go through the middle towards one of the axles (not sure about the exact Jubilee configuration) and also power the locomotive. The parts should look somewhat similar to this - an extra rod in the middle and one axle with an extra center crank. From what I've seen, none of that is modeled in the game. You can say it is mostly hidden in the frame, so no need to model that, but I think the most advanced train simulation should definitely make such extra steps. The locos should be as close as possible to the real thing.
Yeah I knew what you meant Monder at least the 3 valves/cylinders are modelled with a central steam outlet if nothing else when the drain tap (can't think of the proper name!) Is open & you vent steam from the cylinders.
We still have a lathe of that age where I work, and it still works well! In fact it looks identical to that so someone has definately gone to town on it.
It will work until the end of time no doubt! Well ok maybe not a few billion years but I would put money on it still working in 100 years time!
Its probably not an easy discussion, if the middle invisible rods & wheelcrank should be modeled. I personally say yes, not just because i like / excpect a certain detail standard in a next gen trainsim, also in the bunker you can see the entire wheelsets. My guess is, dtg left it out because performance reasons. I rather prefere animated brake shoes, than moving parts on a place nobody sees.
Stupid British. They really need to adopt the SI units at least for European non-British routes. I simply did not expect them use miles where they should use km.
Ahahah, yes, the conversion of units of measurement in the world of the internet, you need a diploma in astrophysics, no less
I think sadly we are heading in the opposite direction on that one! people seem to like difficult mental arithmetic.
