Is there a progress chart anywhere of the progress your making on fixing the redlight issues? Spirit of steam… being the best one as it spad’s when the signal is 500yards out and green!! horseshoe curve… can’t even turn a wheel on current level due to red lights London commuter… 6km of red lights due to ai train not fully into London station it looks.. That’s just the ones I’ve tried AGAIN over the weekend so that’s £72 quid of dlc alone that are basically not playable… id just like some clarification that somethings being done about it? Maybe then I wouldn’t have been so irked to see you on a jolly out at a preserved line!!! Priority’s ?
If you are trying to play through the Journey chapters and you reach a service that can’t be finished, go into the menu and move to the next service. Or play services from the timetable menu instead. Turn off ‘Auto journeys” in the settings and choose the services you play manually from the menus instead. Trying the services again won’t work and the bugs may never get fixed. You just need to skip those services and your purchases won’t be such a waste, as there are many services that are playable.
Give dtg around 1 year to fix Rivet will say nothing is wrong and don't fix or will take years And both will continually pump out dlc and not fix previous dlc
As much as I appreciate you answer is a positive one mate. However if we all just ignore the massive bugs and complete lack of ducks given by dtg then how long before it’s just accepted the norm “yeahhh I paid 24 quid for this but I’ve skipped 10 of the 20 missions as they just don’t work” for instance, Is it acceptable to buy a brand new car only to find 3rd gear doesn’t work I wouldn’t just accept it and skip using 3rd… I’ve paid money for a product I don’t think it’s to much to ask for that product to work is it ?
No, but my point was that if you keep trying to do those broken services you will get nowhere until they are fixed. You said the DLC was unplayable because you were stuck, so I gave you (and anyone else reading) advice on how to continue. I never ignore bugs but in order to enjoy myself I will work around them. We can’t make DTG work any better or faster at fixing the bugs either, only they can improve that, but until they do all we can do is report bugs and play the things that work. Analogies are fun but few services out of a hundred or more not working is more like a squeaky door hinge than a major component of a car’s transmission not working. It’s software, which will have bugs, and although we would all like those bugs to be fixed we have to live in the real world and moving on to the next service as per my advice is much better than trying the broken things again and again. SoS does have more than its fair share of broken services, something which is very annoying to me too, and I can’t offer any different advice to myself that what I gave to you for now. DTG aren’t off the hook though, I’ll be making lots of noise about it if they don’t sort at least some of them out soon.
