Funnily enough I've just done exactly the same thing but on the 10:15 from Minehead. Extensive use of external camera and it didn't crash once. The only unusual thing that happened was witnessing these two pretending to be aeroplanes.
6.00 fw dropped after the TSW update and the WSR DLC....in fact I was hoping this would have fixed the issue (there might have been a memory allocation issue that only WSR was exploiting, causing the crashes) It wasn't, still bombs on 6.00
Hi Guys, For those of you who are not having any issues crashing could you please PM me your PS4's serial number. We are still finding that some PS4 consoles are having no issues at all whilst others are so knowing which models run fine will be of use to us.
10:15 Minehead just blue screened on me. Was internal camera only and had just started. Hadn’t used external screen once. This was service - not scenario.
Damn, just trying a North bound service again in the Class 09. Half way through and crashed to Blue screen.. Time for a run on the GWE.
This is my experience as well. I haven't been able to test as much as I would've liked over the weekend, but have definitely had crashes without using external cameras at all, but maybe they still affect game stability even without being used? Anyways, I second TinTin_57:s message, just let us know if we should test anything in particular, I will gladly help.
Hi everybody. We are still tackling this issue. The good news is we've been able to reproduce the crashes in our tests thanks to the info you've been providing us, so we can further our investigations. As Daniel said in his previous post though, any more information you guys can give us will help, even if you're not experiencing the crash and WSR is running fine on your firmware, please send us your PS4's serial through http://dovetailgames.kayako.com
Here’s another example if you need a recreation: Take the 1015hrs class 47 service. Arrived at Williton, loaded passengers Moved to the next signal (red) next to the shed where you wait for the oncoming train to pass Made a save (completely exited the game then) Loaded up the game Resumed from save, secondman now stood Train passes, signal now allows me to proceed towards Doniford (about 1056hrs) Very next signal is red and does not allow me to proceed....ever Now this situation has definitely occurred more than once as I have tried to run this 1015 from the start many times So if anyone fancies trying this as above and see if they get the same
I decided to take an early lunch and try what Tin Tin has said above. I'm currently sat at the Red light now with the second man stood up, I've requested a pass and have been advise that No Route Is Available. Also looking at the route map shows Reds all the way through now.
SpiderMan arrives today so that will keep me busy until this is fixed. Thing is though some of the trophies I've done on WSR have been done in amongst all the crashes whereas I like to work towards them in a block of a few hours at a time. The whole end to end experience of playing this DLC has diminished somewhat and the launch day excitement I had for it has all but gone now sadly
Never mind the all the problems with WSR, they've still yet to address issues with the base title itself...! I wouldn't get your hopes up guys. It's ok though, they've got your money so that's all that counts. On we go to the next broken DLC. Meanwhile RT still has scenery assets warping in and out of reality, NEC's GP40 still regularly causes the game to hang, we still need and option to disable the amateur hour motion blur, both the GP38 and the GP40 till offer an all you can eat buffet of sloppy low res textures..... I could go on for a fortnight. Unfortunately I made the mistake of buying WSR the second it went live and over one week later I've ventured no further than the tutorials. Thanks for the fun Dovetail, best £20 I ever spent.
Wow, that came out of nowhere! Those of you at home, please let the rest of us know if it seems more stable after the update.
Hi guys. Good news! We've fixed the crashing issue identified thanks to all the information you've been providing us! The patch is rolling out today! The patch also includes some other fixes and improvements and also puts in some groundwork for the upcoming Ruhr Sieg Nord route. If you are still experiencing issues after this patch, let us know. Alternatively, if this patch has fixed it and you're now exploring the West Somerset Railway crash-free, let us know!
So it's the Ruhr Sieg Nord DLC. Not "ground work" but just like you did with WSR, the whole thing is in the "patch"... right? Queuing download behind a another game right now. Be interesting to see how much of the original release and WSR this "patch" fixes and how much of it turns out to be, "ground work".
No, MrSeanFace, it's not RSN. You're not receiving that route right now. The reason why the patch is so big is we have to send out a recompiled .pkg file. It's one of the core files and it's pretty big. It isn't containing RSN but some of the changes we've included need to be in there ready for when RSN does launch.
Ok, I'll stand down, I'll take you at your word and I apologize if I've jumped the gun. Just please, give me reason to sing your praises from a mountain top. GWR looks and runs like a dream both from afar and up close and personal. I just hope that NEC and WSR will soon be brought up to meet those same high standards, standard that you yourself set.
I just ran the ever troublesome 1015 class 47 service with no issues whatsoever having applied the latest patch. Thanks TrainSim-Luke TrainSim-Daniel and others for getting the fix in
Just completed both shunting scenarios no problem at all. Thanks guys for the fix - appreciate it. Also like the sound when going over points - that’s new isn’t it?
Just completed the same run mentioned by TinTin_57 above with no issue what so ever. Thanks again all at DTG for getting this fixed as quick as you did, very much appreciated. I'm off work for a week now so back to streaming the hell out of this over the coming days. Thanks guys.
I'll also jump in here and confirm that WSR seems stable now. Thanks to Luke, Daniel, Matt and whoever else looked into this issue and helped the dev-team resolve it, the communication in this thread have been stellar. Keep up the good work.
Glad to see so many of you have now been able to use WSR without any crashing. Please let us know if that changes at any time. A massive thank you to everyone who supplied us with details about their system and the exact nature of the crashing they experienced. Detailed reports help us greatly and it was great to get so much detailed feedback to supply the Dev Team for their investigation.
Out of curiosity anyone done the 1230hrs 47 service from Minehead yet? Stuck on the first red after leaving Blue Anchor. Looks like there is a train a couple of stations ahead at Williton in the platform facing my direction and he has a green but has been sat there forever. I’ll give it another 10 mins and see if it moves (I’m already 6 mins late for Washford) Again if anyone wants to replicate again and let us know that would be great so we can report as a bug or not.
