This PZB makes me crazy along this route. It is seemingly does not work the same ways it does on other German routes. I always get penalty stops out of the sudden. Is this a bug?

Could you provide a specific example? The usual culprits for “random” penalty stops are GPA magnets.

    Sure.
As I have just bought this route I started with the 'Wash and go' scenario.
I had a penalty stop just before the train wash, then 2 right after I left München Hbf. There were no signals where I got the penalty.
Should I look for the magnets? It seems a bit difficult while driving a HST.
I was within speed restriction, looked for PZB start program, so I don't know...

I think this is what tripped you up.

I'll let someone more knowledgable explain why this Ne 2 board is coupled with a magnet but I think you need to press PZB acknowledge (or override) while driving over it.

    Cheers

Acknowledge, not override. The Ne 2 board is actually a distant signal at danger when standing alone. Thus, you need to acknowledge it as one and expect to stop either at the next signal or often an Ne 1 board in this case.

You're not the only one. This caught me out too when I last played it. I just assumed it was a bug as I was new to PZB and I couldn't work out what was going on as seemed no reason for the magnet. Thanks for the info guys, it makes sense now.

"MVB trains" as opposed to others? What is an MVB train, and what "other" trains get 4 seconds to respond?

This - to my knowledge - refers to the technical layout of the specific PZB/LZB equipment installed in the vehicle. "MVB" is some kind of an interface standard:

How accurately this distinction in PZB/LZB-equippment is implemented in the game, I obviously don't know.

From what I can see by examining this, it seems to me that newer traction using digital computer screens for data entry use the MVB, while older stock with analogue inputs doesn't:

    No MVB:

    With MVB:

    I'm only guessing though.
