Second of a several-part series of images devoted to the standard scenario Temsby Fishin', a freight run with shunting on The Temsby Branch Steam Workshop Route. The train is powered by an RV Pannier 5700 class tank loco. (I assume RV to mean that it's the Pannier provided with Riviera in the Fifties.) The scenario is not timetabled, allowing ample time to concentrate on capturing what I hope are appealing images while not making scenario-ending mistakes.

At Temsby Station, just prior to departure:
Remaining images depict the train traversing the countryside between Temsby and its first stop:

Great shot, showing that TSW isn't even graphically better than TSC

In many ways, I think TS Classic, with the right mods can actually look better.

Yep, that's what I meant, specially with the views from far, which make tracks to look like muddy roads in TSW.

Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland from sprailways.co.uk. Pretty pretty.

Hardly ever seen so much value for money. You get a load of new assets, rolling stock, scenarios with this fabulous 40 miles route. 12 bucks only. Easily my new favourite TS route. Awesome.

    Porthmadog. Journey begins...

Immediately after capturing this final image, I experienced either a one-off fluke or bona fide glitch that brought the scenario to a halt. I'll investigate further when in the mood:

@decrepitts#7027 Are you using RW Enhancer 2 buddy ? I am but your colours look richer than mine and overall the lighting looks more realistic in your piccies.

I run RW Enhancer Pro and, like you, AP Sky&Weather Enhancement. Our results are certainly different. Sometimes I prefer your approach, sometimes mine. There are pluses to both. I think yours quite looks realistic in its way. I do get a sense that, in your most recently image set, the sun is being filtered by clouds so that the game world looks a bit muted. Mine can sometimes look a bit over-saturated, though I don't feel that any of my recent Temsby images are.

Part one of a series a captures devoted to the standard scenario 06:45 Truro - Falmouth, for TobBirk's Falmouth Enhanced Steam Workshop route. The scenario name pretty much says all that need be said, except that it's doably timetabled. The train is headed by a (VW) GWR 4575 2-6-2T "Small Prairie" Steam Loco, seen here in BR livery. It had no trouble negotiating the run's hills. On the other hand, it lacks custom cab lean-out cameras, always a negative for me. (VW's "Large Prairie" loco pack does supply custom lean-outs.)

Truro Station, our train on the far track, waiting for the line to clear:

I prefer yours and they do not look over saturated to me. Mine look a bit wishy washy to me, but i don't have the patience to fiddle with the shader settings. In Enhancer 2 and nobody seems to have uploaded any presets at the moment.

Part of the deal is to find the correct weather and time of day.
Late afternoon tends to be nice with longer shadows and relatively stronger yellow which gives warmth. Not the very best for certain colors on subject, but quite often so. Be aware of the direction of shadows, certain setups aside it's better to shoot against the sun.
Less sunny weathers do work as well, however they tend to be darker and it feels, and in general work a bit less. When I select my shots, I do love murky shots on their own, especially when sitting in the dark, however in my sets of five those usually get the least love.
Last, but not least, the route you photographed has minimalistic (poor) assets and that in itself changes the feel, especially when the weather isn't the sweet juice choice (from above).

I usually shoot more and then I reduce to a certain number or quality threshold. Sometimes I like a capture on the spot, but despise it afterwards. Just keep capturing, comparing, judging, selecting, it'll get better and better.

By the way, looks like all of your pictures are with Camera 2. Try Camera 8 and press Pause right after to fly around.

Three captures from the standard scenario WSR Freight Gala Pts 2, available for both West Somerset Railway and West Somerset Members Edition. This is the latter. Motive power is provided by GWR No.4270, a VW/SSS 4200 class 2-8-0T steam locomotive. (Also available at Steam Store). Despite the scenario title, it's passenger run. Images cover only a portion of the run. Not long after grabbing image three, a derail message appeared, ending the session.

Interestingly (or not), the scenario's West Somerset Railway version begins with the No.4270 more forwardly placed than seen here, on the track to our loco's left (our right):

Images from the standard scenario Eastern Riviera, created for the DT LNER B12 (seen in apple green) on Riviera Line. This might be my first drive on Riviera Line, having bought it dirt cheap during a sale some time ago, due to it being required for a couple of Workshop and/or third-party routes I wanted to acquire. It's only my second drive of the B12, a recent purchase. Despite its age, it's a decent loco. Looks good. Drives well. No custom cab lean-out cameras, which spoils the fun.

The run's penultimate stop. Not long after departing here, I pressed the wrong key-combo when attempting to lock the reverser after winding it down from max to around +24. Thus ended the session before its time. Sad thing is, up until then I had been locking/unlocking the reverser via the cab's "physical" handle on its reverser wheel:

Needs some bits and pieces to run, but if you like sparky's. It is a good run, needs a bit of tidying at the merge (ballast textures etc).

May be a bit late to this one - was only just scrolling through this thread for the first time in a while today - but have you looked at the FR Steam and Diesel loco pack from the same website? It’s absolutely fantastic, £3.50 for two locos of significantly higher quality than the rest included with the base route, both visually (I think this is because they are new models, compared to the rest which were around with the old original freeware UKTS Ffestiniog route), and in terms of sounds and included features.
The first loco in the pack is Lyd, a 2-6-2 from the Lynton and Barnstaple who visited the Ffestiniog fairly recently. Now, I know the L&B pretty well and was extremely pleased to be able to drive this in game.
Next, we have the Funkey Diesel ‘Vale of Ffestiniog’. Now this one has to be the highlight of the pack for me, it’s basically just a fully functioning diesel loco on a smaller scale, if on steam it would certainly merit a pro range label (definitely needs a read of the manual before running it). In terms of features, it has different ‘shunt’ and ‘passenger’ modes, which affect various systems like the brakes, a toggleable deadman’s system, and working gears. I’m sure there is more I am yet to play around with. The model looks great, especially for the price. The sounds I cannot comment much on due to my never having encountered this loco IRL, but they sound pretty original and really detailed, and meatier than some standard gauge mainline diesels, I especially love when powering up that there is a nice little whine reminiscent of the Class 158. No, I’m not sponsored :) but this honestly is a must have for the F&WHR in TS. (Will post some screenshots later)

Yeah, thank you. SPRailways offers value for money, so I've bought all the additional packs.
