This route would be set in 1979 or 1980 as I found a timetable online which fits this period for the Severn Beach line During this time, Class 122’s would’ve worked services to Severn Beach & Avonmouth, with InterCity 125’s, Peaks, 47’s & 50’s hauling expresses between Bristol & Taunton with a motley bunch of Class 31’s, 33’s, 101’s & 117-119’s on the local services. The 31’s and 33’s would commonly be on services from Weston to Bristol as well as freight working and the Cardiff - Portsmouth service (Class 33’s) Proposed Rolling Stock Class 118 in BR Blue/Grey livery Would operate all local services on this route, being replaced by a Class 31 on Bristol - Weston SM workings if the player owned that DLC, with the Class 101 also layering in from time to time. Spent most of their working life south of Birmingham, with the final set being withdrawn from Tyseley in 1994. This version wouldn’t have the sealed beam light fitted. Class 43 ‘HST’ in BR Blue livery The train that changed it all. Introduced to the Western region in 1976 and CrossCountry services from 1982, these units have provided valuable service to the UK’s rail network and are still running to this day with CrossCountry, Great Western Railway, ScotRail & Network Rail. At the time the route is set, these units would only be utilised on expresses to/from Paddington, with a timetable set in a later date (and with InterCity liveries) having them feature on CrossCountry services as well as the introduction of the Class 150 for the local stoppers. Class 45/1 & 46 in BR Blue livery with Central Headcode These locos would take charge of all CrossCountry services by default, with 47’s only layering in if the player owns Northern Trans Pennine. Also included would be the Air-Con Mk2’s, which would be used on most services but not all of them, hence the inclusion of the Steam-heat only Class 46. The only differences between the 2 classes is that the 46 has a different electrical system and is not fitted with ETH capability, and as such the final member of the class was withdrawn in 1984. 8 Class 45/1’s survived into preservation (45105, 108, 112, 115, 118, 125, 133 & 149), along with 3 Class 46’s (46010, 035 & 045), with both 45118 & 112 set for a return to mainline running within the next 2 years following the beginning of an overhaul on 45112, which has sat outside rotting at Burton since 2007. Possible DLC’s Class 122 in Blue/Grey livery Operated services to Severn Beach.
Bring it on and for the Class 43 HST it needs Paxman Valenta Engines. NTP owners get both Class 45/1 & 47 as standard. The correct list is going to be 118 HST 43 Valenta Engine and Class 46 Peak. NTP Huddersfield Line Layers are Class 45/1 47 101 and Heavy Freight Pack DLC Class 40 & 08 Shunter
Nice suggestion, and of course the Valenta 43 would open up a load of other areas in the country for "legacy routes" One question, would the Class 25 not be a good small freight loco in the area for that period?
