To get the 6 days early access does one need to pre order now or not? My son is rather peeved the fact that the release date on the 6th is the day he goes back to school!!!
it's FOUR days, so Friday 2nd September (my birthday lol) Yes you need to pre-order to get this four days early
I don’t understand the logic of this. Unless the pre-orderers are getting a Beta build, I assume that the final build must be ready and in place on 2nd September. So why are we not allowed to play it until the 6th?
Unless the people pre-ordering are paying more, there's no real benefit money wise except they'll get people paying now who might have waited a bit (ie cashflow).
If you only want to buy one route, then yeah, you do need to pay more. For example, if you own SEHS & only want the new German HighSpeed line, you will need to buy one of the higher priced editions for early access.
the only discounted bundle on steam right now is the deluxe. So if you buy the standard edition on preorder you'll pay the same now as on Sept 6th Given the local versions aren't on sale yet there's no discount either I get that you're saying "to get it any TSW3 content early you have to buy that edition over there which costs more", but that's not the same thing... It doesn't matter what you want, only what you buy
Thanks I was wondering what the cut off time is, can we pre order say in a weeks time and still get early access? Thanks. Will make a nice b'day present for you.
Dunno. Hopefully they'll provide details on the two roadmap streams over the next few days Along with upgrading my PC, yep
Well clearly not as some people will be able to play it on September 2nd. If it's finished, ready for release and up on the Steam/Microsoft/Sony servers on the 2nd, why purposely hold it up for 4 days?
They're not. They've set a date for principal release, and a date for pre-order release. If you disagree with those dates, so what? They set the dates... There's a difference between something "being ready for release" and "the release date".
If they limit the number of people playing over the weekend, then the support staff can better handle bugs and issues that show up in the first few days.
